Ahha. when i saw your signature, it left no doubt about what you have done.
Congrats on the reunion!

And you are not going turbo? What happened to all that peer pressure? Need some beer for it to take effect?

If it is not confidential, for how much did you sell her and for how much did you buy her back 3 years later ? And I guess, while selling you would have brought her back to stock, right ?

From reading the entire thread till now, I have understood the following:

1)
The thread starter sold his Baleno.

2)
He bought it back after looking at it and finally making a buy two months later.

3)
The thread starter is plonking in a new engine with turbo charger and it will be larger than 1.8 tlr engnie as he ( mostly ) already had plonked in a 1.8 earlier.

I am confued what is going on here and equally excited to know more.

I dont think he said anything about going the Turbo way, due to him not having come across yet a 100% reliable TC build. After reading all the threads here about Turbo installs gone awry, I agree with him.

ICE Install.

To coninue with the ICE install. I walk into Auto Fusion, I tell touqheer I am only after a HU and speakers. He just looks at me and smiles. I am like oh no..not that smile!! I say no way I have no Money. He refuses to sell me a HU and speakers. According to him I need a good sound setup in my car else none at all. Iceman needs good ICE.fine baba go ahead do what you feel like. I ma not even going to ask what is in the car. Next day I walk in and am flabbergasted!! There are two RF amps in the boot. A touch screen HU, components in the front kevlar cone 6x9's at the back and a sub in a fibreglass enclosure on the side wall in the boot! whoopeeeee all this for 10k. (i am in dreamland) He has also tinted the car and a new Alarm system. I did not even bother asking how much. He took my card swiped it and I signed. He did not charge for half the stuff. What a sweetheart..need more friends like him
Check the sound out..it is good but can improve. I leave as it is late and have to go to a dinner at Via Milano.
Next morning I sit and start tweaking the HU..the options are crazeeee..I love it. A few hours late we haev MUSIC!! sounds clear at all levels and the DTS sound is mindblowing for dvds. I have a 4.1 no center speaker yet...
It is crystal clear inside and the bass is just right..impressed wiht Kenwood and of course Anwar's install.
I dont have picsof the install..that will come up shortly..nothing fancy very plain and simple. still have the whole boot available.

Some pics of the stuff:

Fantastic effort iceman91. You are really lucky to get back your car. How is the bodyline ? is it good or did you have it painted ? Your ICE rocks. Please post it in the sound off & show off section when you have the time.

A photograph from the archives, dated 12th June 2005, my first Team-BHP drive. Guess which car has the attention of every BHPian despite the presence of Rudra's immaculate Amby.
