Opening up the Dash board of Verna

Hello,
I need a advice,
I have a Hyundai Verna XXI
During the 3rd service, the service guys have broken the wooden fascia on the dash board. Now, they are replacing it but tell me that they have to open up the dash board to fix it.
Is it safe to open up the dash board ? Will it start to give rattling later?
Or can they fix it back as it was ?

If any of you have some experience on this, please let me know.
