Mods for a stock Skoda RS

Hi guys,

Am sure most of you might be aware that I have a stock yellow Skoda RS which is one of the most fun pieces of machinery around. I have this thingy in me which wants my car to be unique and different from other RS's. I love the way the car drives in stock form. But....I have this problem called "Split Personality". One part of me(30%) says enjoy the car as it is but the other(70%) saying lets do something to make the car different(in terms of performance, exterior, interior whatever it may be).

If you guys had a budget of about 40k(nothing more as I plan to buy another car for the family) what would you do? Shoot in your inputs.

Cheers

how many skoda Rs's do you find out there, that you want yours to be different. Is'nt having a Rs itself standing out from others. But if you still want to mod this beast, this will be a nice place to start with.

Thanks Hemanth but I have already gone through that thread. The filters spoken about like K&N wouldnt do any good to the RS as K&N allows contaminants past to cling to your MAF meter[s], messing up its signal and runs the car [badly] on a default value thats down around 20hp. So I want inputs specific to the RS only.

I know the RS itself is very unique(there are only 3 cars like mine in the city-was told by the dealer) but I tend to get greedy.

Cheers

Since having a Bright Yellow car is not enough for you I think for 40k you should get it painted Hot Pink, like this CR-V!! That'll make it really stand out!!

That "L" from the number plate can be removed to make a special number plate.

i think you guys should get a nice intake first. carbonio to be precise. then get the stage 1 remap. should boost the power to about 180bhp.

@irgahava: what is that? Legally blonde in bollywood, starring Rakhi Sawant?

@akshay

stage 1 plus green filter and forge divertor valve= 200 bhp

carbonio will take that up a notch I guess.

Hi,

If you go for replacement filter yes it will damage the MAF but CAI will be perfect (should be carefull in winter).

Carbonio CAI, forge diverter valve and a phase I remap ...All the way. Just be careful about going into water clogged areas with the CAI.

The RS doesnt need any mods apart from cosmetic ones, I feel. Its got a bullet-proof engine that lugs like a train and gallops in a hurry.

redsfx,

As discussed with you, go with what autopsyche has suggested.

This is the best bang for your buck and the F.E. will also more or less remain the same, if you drive carefully.
