is that right ??

BMW people here are really confused with this whole new BSI plans.

Anyways I will get a confirmation letter on monday so lets hope for the best
and hope they dont tell me to upgrade

It is not complicated if you contact the dealer. There is only change of names + some more combinations of Km & years added. Perhaps owing to customer feedback!!! Really do not know the exact reason though. As long as we have more choices, no body is complaining.

So, here is what you are looking for.

BSI+R is RENAMED as BMW Service Inclusive Ultimate. This is the large hearted package covering periodic maintenance+extended warranty+labour+taxes. U get 4 combinations 3Y/60000 Kms, 3Y/90000 Kms, 5Y/60000 Kms & 5Y/100000 Kms.

BMW Service Inclusive Plus is a new toned down option. This does not provide you with extended warranty. It covers just the oils, filters, brakes, brake discs, wiper blades, labour & taxes. Again it comes with 4 combinations as above ... 3Y/60000 Kms, 3Y/90000 Kms, 5Y/60000 Kms & 5Y/100000 Kms.

Beamer Boy,

Thanks a lot for putting up this info! really helpful.

Could you please tell me the prices for the following from the pricesheet u got:

1. BMW Service Inclusive Plus - 5y/100000kms
2. BMW Service Inclusive Ultimate - 5y/100000kms

Thanks a lot !

Guys, about the IPOD Retrofit, i have come across a solution which says you can retrofit it in place of your CD Changer (CD Changer sacrifice) and its gonna cost only around $300 (shipped to India). according to the discussion, it says that all u need is the Single CD Slot to read mp3 cds, and you are good to go with this IPOD Retrofit kit. No need to visit the workshop for any program upgrades.

@ Insane_Devil

I am sorry brother but about 3 days back I keyed in the complete price table here for all models. It seems that the mods were a bit unhappy, my post is still not available.

Can you please provide the car model of your BMW and I can provide you with the relevant prices.

I have restored your post, but let me tell you that it took a substantial amount of editing. We have requested this on prior occasion too : PLease do NOT cut-copy-paste from other word softwares. It results in a formatting error.

First major issue I am facing with BMW Cochin

I paid 290000 on September 15th before the delivery of my car for my BSI+R which was to be registered immideatly.

Now today I was told my BSI had not come due to some issues which I later found that the BMW cochin had not paid that amount to the BMW India and now they seem to be in deep trouble sinse the amount is raised .

I was told that the accountant was at fault and I told them to sort out the issue somehow and I won't pay any amount extra .

Will update once I am updated from BMW Cochin

I have been told that BMW Main office have been informed that i had already paid for the BSI 2 months back and they have told me that everything will be taken care of.

I personally see only 2 options for them

1 . Pay the difference amount from their pocket
2 . BMW India allowing them to register a BSI now at rates which are not available now (which i find very unlikely would happen)

Whatever the case i have been told that i need not worry about the BSI and i would be given BSI PLUS ULTIMATE for 5 years/100000 kms

Lets wait and see i told them i want a confirmation in 2 days

Thanks
Sujith

After i made the payment to my dealer, i got a receipt for the same from BMW head office confirming my enrollment in the BSI+R package. So make sure you get that.
I hope they send out a circular to all the current BSI+R subscribers that they are now enrolled in BSI Ultimate to avoid dispute with dealerships.

Whatever happens i had given the amount for BSI+R in the form of cheque on August 17th .

That itself acts as a proof because i had a receipt for the payment of the same for BSI.

So i don't think there will be a dispute but just one more issue .

But again how come the dealers of such expensive and reputed car company be so careless.

I also am sending an official letter regarding all the details and have asked them to send me a mail or fax or letter .

All the talking will only be in the form of mail, letter or fax and i wont do any telephonic conversation.

Thanks to Team-Bhp i wont do the same mistakes

BMW Service Inclusive - Feedback

Friends, I got a call from my contact at the BMW dealer looking out for some customer feedback on Service Inclusive. The choice was to answer the set of questions over phone or online. I chose the online option.

Addicted to Team-BHP like all other souls out here I happen to volunteer if they are looking for some more responses so that I can help with the expert opinion of fellow TBHP members. So here are the links, 15 questions in total which took me not more than 4 minutes.

1- BMW Service Inclusive - Market Feedback

2- BMW Service Inclusive - Car ownership feedback

Target group sought for responding: Current and prospective BMW buyers.

Calling upon Sahil, sujithnk, Insane_devil and my other fellow members to make our contribution. I guess, we should call this as 'Customer Social Responsibility'.
