FRK is one of Bangalore's better known tuners. They're in Whitefield. If you approach WFD Honda from NGEF/Old Madras Rd, keep going straight for 2 km. On the left is an IOC gas station, and a LPG depot. Take the left just after, and go down to the dead end. Right side, last plot.

Hi guys

I am planning to buy Baleno LXI. I have decided to stick with stock 13'' rims and I would change the tyres to tubeless 185/70 R 13.

What I would like to know is which brand of the following accessories should I go for. I want to know which brand of these items does Maruti give as OEM :

1. Rear Spoiler - should look good and should have good quality paint
2. Power Antenna
3. Silver finish centre console
4. Music System - cd / am/ fm / cassette (if possible)
5. Security system (keyless entry with alarm)

My total budget is around 25K after excluding the tyre exchange cost.

5. Security system (keyless entry with alarm) {did not buy..baleno CL is enuf for me}

My total budget is around 25K after excluding the tyre exchange cost

Can anyone recommend a good shop in Central Mumbai, to buy the following items for Baleno LXI?
1. 185/70 R14 Tubeless Tyes and 14" RIMs (exchange)
2. Leather(pseudo) Seat Covers. Or should I go for some other material?
3. Rear Spoiler
4. Power Antenna
5. Mats & Mud Flaps

If not in central mumbai then any other location please.

Thanks

Hi Observer,

1.The correct upsize would be 185/65 R14.
185/70 wud cause a variation of more than the acceptable limit of 2% in OD (outer dia). Go for Aura or Neo Alloys !.

2. Be carefull with fitment of power antenna and spoiler. If not done properly, water will leak inside the dicky.

3. Carpet type floor mats and mud flaps are standard equipment on the Lxi. If u havent got them ask the dealer !.

4. False leather will be horrible during the summers, so take care.

Ritik123, but are leather ones not very costly? Somewhere I had read, they are costing around 20K. My budget is around 3-4K for seat covers. What should I opt for?

Thanks

I think the original velvet type covers are better than anything one wud get for around 4K. So maybe u cud stick to that and save the money.

Any other views from BHPians ?

Hey Observer u could just get some material from upholstery shops and get it stitched as seat covers from a local mechanic...I could'nt afford the real sports seat covers so i just got similar material and got them stitched instead and they really looked cool.....

Contact any nearby mechanic and find out if he'll stitch the covers for u....

If you want to stick to 185/70 then go for 185/70 R 13 and not 185/70 R 14. The 13 inch will be in acceptable limit...

I for one even would say that no covers are needed at all...or if you really want..got for cloth covers....with no foam.... Covers change the natural contour of the seat and with too much foam also reduce the available space in the car (Imagine sitting 2 inches from where you used to..courtesy seat covers...this is 2 inch less headroom and legroom. )

all the talk about original upholstry going bad is not true.. I have seen 5+ year old cars with no seatcovers and seats in mint condition.

I expect my kids to be wanting more Baleno than me. So I am planning to put up seat covers, so that we can easily wash off the chocolate and the Butterscotch coats.

Also what is better 185/70 R13 or 185/65 R14? Or am I mixed up again?

Thanks
