Innova with Vinyls!

Hi Team,

Here are few vinyl mods done to my innova
This is just an experiment to see the outcome.
Please put your comment and opinion what you feel.

Planning for :
1. Remove the front grill and get a black mesh done
2. Blacken the head lights and tail lights
3. Upgrade the tyre from stock 205 to 225
Anything else?

A bit too flashy and not to my liking.
I would suggest a full paint job in place of these vinyls. Will look classy and far far better.

I absolutely agree!

this is what i would do:
- complete paint job:- black
- maybe replace the front grill
- upsize tyres
- alloys shouldnt be shiny chrome though
- have a hint of red somewhere
- blackened lights are also do-able. not sure if you want to do the headlights though

Main question is:
what is the look you are aiming for?
- flashy ?
- aggressive ?
- classy (subtle) ?

Such a large Toyota sticker makes it look like a demo car.
But then again, i dont subscribe to using a car as an advertising board for all the various brands out there.
If you want to go all out on vinyls, get something like flames done. Be different. Even indicabs here in Bangalore have Pirelli stickers.

Too loud!

Saw black Innova today with black matt paint alloys, blackened lights and a Pete's sticker. I see it now and then. One beauty it is (and hope he has the box in his Innova and not just the sticker)

The vinyl job looks rather too loud, in red.
The rest i can still ignore.

Looks too gaudy to me. I could just about tolerate the sticker in the 1st 2 pictures but the ones below that are bad.

Too flashy for my tastes and looks like a cab rather then car for personal use.
If I was in your place then

Choice A :
Leave the vehicle paint stock but invest money on wider tyres , alloys , interios improvements.

Choice B :
In case the decal work is to hide the dents and chipped paint then.

(1) Do away with All the trademarks such as Toyota , piralli etc , Untill they pay me hefty sum to advertise for them.

(2) Instead of Red Vinyl work towards the tail use a vinyl with Carbon fibre Chequred pattern and spray with a can of clear coat.

(3) CF look on the hood ,

Would not suggest repainting whole vehicle black as the temple background suggest that you are in Tamil Nadu and black car is not ideal choice.

Regards
Amit

Just too many stickers IMO. Lose the stickers. I think the base color is such that the stickers do not match and base is a very decent color. IMO even lose those sun visors. I think a completely black color innova with those alloys would have looked good.

It looks like a demo car or a promotion car ! Too loud with those huge letters around. Removing all the brand stickers will look better. Innova has its own clean road presence. If you like a touch of chromium, you could try it on alloys, few other areas wherever possible, it would give a killing look on a black innova. Just a pic from the web for reference !

Infractions: 0/1 (5)

If done tastefully, vynils can look good. But people always go overboard with huge vynils and hundreds of stickers of different brands, at which point the car starts looking like a mobile billboard.

There are too many vinyls. I would suggest removing the white vinyl from the hood, and all the other small stickers like Pirelli and TRD etc.
