this shop is not bad at all actually
theyve got some other stuff like that Hydraulic Jack and so on - I bought one from them - 4 tons capacity. Havent tried it yet but Im sure it will be easier to work than the OEM jack that comes with the Scorp.

their GPS devices are expensively priced and they dont have much of a range.
But it is definitely a good place for car care stuff. Including that Jopasu glove type duster - thats quite a good product by the way!

I found their collection to be quite decent, though not complete in any way. For example, still no Meguiars products.

I see a new Reliance Autozone that's opened in Basaveshwarnagar in Bangalore (near Shankar Mutt circle and opp to Pizza Hut). Although I am planning to drop in some time there to look for ICE for Swift, just wondering if any of the BHPians been there and hows the feedback?

Any clues about its branches getting opened in Pune/ Mumbai?
Pune is at par with NCR / Chennai when it comes to Auto OEM's presence. Don't know why Reliance didn't establish its branch here till now.

Reliance Autozone does not have any branches in Mumbai/Pune as of now. Even I am surprised in not finding their branches in these two cities.

Went to Reliance Auto Care(?) which occupies part of Reliance Mart (?) on Kharadi Bypass near Zensar building. They occupy about a third of the second floor space. They carry several brands of tyres. ICE section has Sony, Pioneer and JBL products and some DVD monitors. Others include seat covers, polishes, knick knacks like car chargers, stickers, a collection of Hella horns and a very very tiny assortment of Phillips bulbs. The SAs were too busy with something to tend to my questions, so I left the building.

Just curious to know how Reliance Autozone is doing in respective cities. I have seen 2 outlets in Bangalore close down in the last year. Same elsewhere?

Bangalore, they are competing in different world. Everyone prefers and knows JC road and for specialists there are the shops such as Palani's, Evos etc. I think just like reliance fresh, they too are not doing good. The kind of rents they pay vs the revenue generated are not viable.

They did a bigger sale than Flipkart's big billion day sale to get rid of inventory. That was the only time I saw a huge rush at Reliance Autozone section. Eventually all stuff was given out at throw away prices and the large lot of real estate recovered to handover to Reliance Fresh which does better business than Autozone could ever have. Goes on to show how our brick and mortar shops still rule over high value retail chains when it comes to the ICE and aftermarket accessory business.
