Electra Performance Chennai

BHPians,

I am planning to do a free flow upgrade on my Ford Ikon 1.6 NXT. I had enquired with Electra Perforamance, Chennai located in the OMR near Kottivakam.

The price they had quoted is as below:

1. NGK Spark Plugs - 2900
2. K&N Replacement Air filter - 5300
3. FreeFlow Exhaust Kit - 12,000 including labor*

*Manufactured by Electra Performance

Is there any feedbacks on these folks in Electra from our fellow BHPians in Chennai!?

I also spotted a 99' Model Nissan Skyline GTR getting fixed over there today evening. Heard the engine conked off after an upgrade to boost 800bhp!

Thanks,
Arun

Electra performance is well known in Chennai. A lot of Chennai bhpians have got their rides done up there. A k&n replacement filter should cost u the same everywhere unless you are going in for a universal type.

Does the free flow come with the stainless steel end can? The prices are little on the expensive side but i guess it should be worth it. GO for it!!

You landed in a very good place. Electra performance is very well known for their work so don't worry. I'm not sure about the price

cheers

Make sure to talk to Krupesh there. You are in good hands with him, they know what they do.

My Audi, Skoda RS, Ford Mondeo and Honda Civic were and are looked after by them.

I'm planning to get it done from Electra if it is around 12k (as mentioned by anachronix), for my Accent. But anybody has any idea on by how much percentage the power will increase after FFE?

It was the replacement filters, not the conical!

I am planning to go for the conical filters along with the FFE.

Oh that will be great. 1.6 Ikon has a very good performance potential. Just FFE and a cold air-intake itself will bring you notable improvement in throttle responce and power! I have driven a tuned 1.6, that guy got only these things on his car, but the power is really good!

Keep updated on all your works!

Electra is the place to be when you are in chennai. as some one said make sure krupi is around when your work is getting done..

I have the conical filter but if you dont have a way to route some cold air into it, go for OE replacement filter and stop there.. just MHO..
