Converting a Zen to a 2 door is a very simple job, you just have to blank out the rear door.

Converting to a Carbonsteel is tough because the front door is longer and you need to move the B-pillar back by about 6 inches.

Check out the 2 door JBL swift that was done by Arush

So when can we have the pics.
Also has it been badged as a "SNOW".
Would be great if you can get hold of the owner.
This must be one of its kind in India as even we all at TBHP are unaware of the existance of the same.

All right, all you non-believers out there...
lo, behold.... Maruthi Zen 'SNOW'.

Want to Convert My Zen to a Carbon/Steel ZEN-dsc00137.jpg

and the decal says

Want to Convert My Zen to a Carbon/Steel ZEN-snow.jpg

This one is usually parked on the ORR, diagonally opp to 'Eco Space'.

There is a small hotel called 'Nukkad', this is usually in front of that, so I guess the guy there owns this.

looks like a carbon/steel repainted in white with a cheeky appropriate name.
Carbon=black
steel=silver
snow=white

you can ask the guy to confirm

But, the 'font' looks very similar to that of carbon, so I doubt if it is just another paint job.

Let me see if I can talk to the owner.

Spinnerr, Thank you so much for posting the pics and proving the existance of "Snow" in Bangalore.

The "Snow" is also written in the back as how you see "Carbon" in the Carbon zen (again the same font). The owner stays very close to Koramangala club in 6th block. I will try this weekend to see if I can speak to the owner.

Any update on this? Is it a Maruti original form of precipitation, or an aftermarket mod?

Finally dropped the plan for two door. still quite happy with 4 doors. Also the "Snow" Zen is pure fake, but a good concept though & its a 4 door zen converted to 2 doors as you can clearly make out by the front door length,the pillar & rear wheel arch is extended to match the shape. needs little more effort to make the body perfect, but i like it.

I doubt that is a fake. Compare the Profile to a real Zen Carbon or Steel and see. The Rear Window is Exactly the same design and the Font of the word "SNOW" match that of the words "CARBON" and "STEEL" that were used originally by Maruti.

This does not look like a fake. Infact I had spotted couple of these 3 door Zens prior to the launch of the Carbon/steel editions. Some of them with the moniker saying Alto (thats before that name became a household item in India) , I have seen the SNOW sticker as well. This is the export version of the Zen.

If I am not mistaken, this will have the original gen Zen grille as against the 2nd facelifted version. But the tail lamp looks like the 2nd facelifted one.

Alright so you were one of the few guys(My brother too spotted one at his friend's place who was a dealer back in 90s) who actually saw the imported Alto(as the Zen was known overseas) & not the zen. Yes a few of them did find their way on our roads. How is a big question
