The shop is on the road right opposite to Fun World's main gate. Next to TV tower.

he normally charges 500bucks just to remove it, but I've kept the headers with him and told him to find me a buyer and he can give me the money when he finds one.So he hasn't charged me anything for removal at the moment
I have exams going on and I'm going out of town with family for a couple of weeks from the month end so i'll give him a call once I'm back, If it's still not sold ill put it up on the team-BHP classifieds.
As of this moment my car is completely stock. My conical filter is also kinda torn at places, so i'll be selling that to my car accessories guy and will buy a stock replacement filter when i get money from FFE.
but first update is new shoes, my car is wobbling quite a bit, My tyres have run for about 50k kms and are due for a change
But for any new readers of this thread, Getz headers 4x2 street spec headers are up for sale with shabbir(i'm not sure how much he'll sell them for, i'm expecting anything between 3-4)
Hi. can you explain why you did not like the header? any problems?

Well, It was making quite a bit of noise, and with the conical filter, it was sounding like i had an end can attached, and even though I'm essentially the one driving the car, it still is a family car, and anyone from dad, to aunt, and uncle could use it, and mileage did drop by about 10%(even when i was shifting at 3k rpm) (started getting anything between 9-10) which for a petrol car without ac, is definitely on the lower side. So now I'm getting 10+, and i changed my front 2 tyres to tubeless, and filled in nitrogen as well, so I'm hoping for a little more fuel economy,
and very importantly, There was a wierd hissing noise when i shifted gears, which would lead me to think there is an exhaust leak, I would end up getting it checked pretty often, It wasn't giving me peace of mind, So i rather have less performance than a car which kept troubling me for trivial issues,
Money lost, Lesson learnt, Stock rocks!

Its quite sad, you had to go through all this.

Raj is great at machining, but his team with Shabbir has lost their nuts off-late

In the recent times they behave like some Phd holding engineers and they know everything

Earlier this was not the case, more time was spent in doing the job properly and quality was assured. But now its all opposite.

More focus goes in on how to finish the job faster and pack off the customer. 4 years i did not have trouble with the Headers on my car, but in the recent 1 year, one small problem of leakage they could not solve, inspite of my 7 visits, had to resort to my tinker to fix it.

They dont listen to you anymore.

Retained the Header, but went back to stock muffler.

Car is returning a FE of 18 kmpl and no headaches.

Me and a fellow tbhpian had a similar experience from this team. When we contacted them for 2 set of FFE. They were acting like the same what pavan mentioned and when I conveyed that I am a TBhpian, they conveyed doesn't matter .

Hi Guys.

I have been following this thread for a while.

Nice to skim through the experiences f many T-bhpians.
I recently got an FFE installed from shabbir. Its a full set
including end can as my stock exhaust had silencer leakage
issues and honda guys were charging whopping 27 k to replace
both B and C pipe.

Hence i decided to go for an FFE. (wiser option)
the whole thing came upto 10k for all the pipes. I am
happy with the performance. Its a street spec.

@Vinayvtec: thanks for helping me with the set up.
I can sense hissing noise (like a whistle) i believe this must be due
to the conical filter set up.

However i would get it checked once at a local mechanic because
i believe there should be no more leakage but to be on a safer side.

The exhaust note is mild, though needs time to get set though.

Thanks,
Ayyappan

Good to know you are happy with the setup Ayyappan, the whistle sound would be from end can I think, Drive it for about 500 Kms so that the carbon gets deposited and then if you still have that hissing sound then you can get it check with Shabbir. Even you will get the hissing sound from air filter, you can figure it out.

No quadra. the lightning and I dropped the plan. We were looking for same spec full FEE for 2 WagonRs. Raj quoted 13k for one car and not ready to adjust even 1K. We were not confident enough to go to Shabir directly, by side tracking Raj. Even we check with Automech, RAC and FRK Racing. Bangalore dealers of Automech quoted 15K for one set of Full FEE (no bargain). So we dropped the plan of installing FEE in cold storage.

Thanks.

@vinayvtec: Thanks for your response. Will keep you posted.

@Imran. Yeah, that there is not much room for bargain.
They are under the impression that if you want it so much, you will be ready to shell the price quoted.

Re: Free Flow Exhaust in Bangalore

I need a replacement of my spark muffler. The doc has advised a replacement as its got some rust and hence its broken at the end (will post a pic soon). This causes a nice grunt

I posted the query in a diff thread, prorbably the wrong one (see here) hence posting it here.

Spark has a diff kind of muffler design so i doubt the readily available (off the selff) mufflers would fit.

Any advice ??
