Tacho problems. Is this the solutions?

Hi,
As most of you guys know, I drive an Opel Corsa 1.6 with some mild mods. The problem is, my Autogauge Tacho doesn't show proper readings. It idles properly but climbs very slowly. My car doesn't have a distributor. Did some research on the net and found this product.

eBay Motors: Tachometer Adapter CP7558 Sunpro (item 350127400389 end time Dec-17-08 15:13:20 PST)

What do you guys think. Will it work? Is it worth it? any other solution?

The link you have given has a list of vehicles that this will work with and the Corsa is not one of them.

I know. But the Sunpro website says it's universal for all cars without distributors.
