How many of my fellow BHP-ians love working on their car? Do all of you have a full tool kit? I had a brilliant set of tools when I was in college in the US, but was forced to leave it behind when I came back here.

For the past few months, I've been scouring the market place for a complete tool kit for my car, but to no avail - does anyone know a store in Bangalore where I could find one? (and I'm talking about a high-quality set of tools, not the ones that are made in China and last for a year or so)

Thanks!

Check out Goodwill on SP road, good collection of tools from Stanley to everything. You can get Snap On also in some stores. There is one more store called Hussain at the end of Commercial sTreet, stanley dealer but more expensive than Goodwill.

I buy most of my stuff from Goodwill, quite friendly people.

I am ordering some thing from Eastman tools. Tools Manufacturers,Hand Tool Manufacturers,India Machine Tools Manufacturer, Precision Hand Tools Exporters, Automotive Hand Tools Exporters ,Automotive Hand Tools, India I have heard good reviews about them from many people.

I was contemplating on some expensive tools some time back Thread here.

Amongst all the brands I have seen here Eastman are very good and absolute value for money. Taparia used to be good but of late there quality seems to have dipped.

Ice,

As crazydiablo suggests, try Goodwill Enterprises.

awesome quality & decent priced

Chiragh thats what roamingrao has said. Goodwill is the stockist for Stanley and various other brands.
I somehow prefer craftsman. They are simply awesome.

Nice of you guys here to discuss on this topic.
Can I please know if an automatic wrench is available for fastening and unfastening wheel nuts while changing tyres? If yes, any estimate on the price front too will be of help.

Hi Kamath,

Check out this link 12V Car Wrench > Maplin , this is what I have ...its surprising to see it unlock the nuts with ease even though its powered on 12v DC , its good and turns the nuts guaranteed in 3 clicking sounds.

It works like a charm on my Accent. If you can source this then nothing like it as it does what it says.

Cheers,

Peter.:)

Hi all,

I want to buy a set of allen keys & a set of box spanners.
Can anyone help me to find a good dealer at reasonable price in pune?

Here are some pics of the tools my friend has. They are real old ones and obviously imported. He has many more stuff but I had no time to dig into all his boxes in his garage :)

I have a Force toolkit, though it doesn't have a large torque wrench and a few other things. Those I borrow from a nearby mechanic who's a friend.

I am thinking of buying a BOSCH GRB 13RE drill set. Now, does it have the attachment to unscrew the wheel nuts of our cars?

I just love working to see all my hands black in color with dirt, grease & oil; and when it comes to tools, I just love the feeling of holding a craftsman tool than anything else - http://www.craftsman.com/

Also, can anyone provide me link or review about using Bosch tools? Is there a Bosch mechanical toolset available?
