Not sure if Pete has one, another option is TuneIt in Bombay. They claim their boxes work for all diesel cars.

i dont think petes has one. also i dont think tunit will be very reliable since they seem to have the same box for all cars.

any other suggestions to boost the power? budget should be around 30-40k.

I might be wrong of the same box for all cars, might have got it confused for his claim of having boxes for all turbo diesels.

They did offer me a trial run too, that should help you decide if it's really worthwhile.

Endeavour Tuning Chip

These are two products I stumbled upon while searching for tuning options for my endy:

STEINBAUER Tuning Technologies

Diesel Tuning Performance Chip / Ford Ranger TDCI on eBay, also Engine Tuning Parts, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 13-Jan-09 21:00:00 GMT)

I have no idea about either of these products. Just thought I'd share it.

0-100 in 10.4 secs in a 3 ton SUV

Popped into Pete's place this morning with my brother and his 2.5 liter TDCi Endy.
Peter let us run one of the opened boxes for the Endy.
Not sure what the claimed output figures are. Will have to visit the site to get details, but so far, the results have been downright silly!

after an initial 15min crawl through the city, When the truck was restarted at a traffic light, it sounded and felt different. My brother was at the wheel, taking off from the signal while overtaking a bike, almost put us in the median because of the unaccustomed power surge(he floored the car in 2nd like he would normally to overtake)

Drove sedately back home, then went out to our customary test road in the cochin port area. Roads have been recently relaid, visibility is excellent, traffic is sparse, and there are no pedestrians/cyclists or bikes in this area.

Brother did the 1st run, and as usual, we forgot to turn off the AC-
0-100 --- 11.5 secs
I ribbed him about his poor launch technique, and taunted him into handing over the keys.
Switched off the AC
My 1st time after it was Pete'd 10.5 secs
2nd run 10.4 secs in the opposite direction.

Please note- the claimed acceleration figures for this UV is 16 secs to the ton.

The endy revs freely to 5000rpm in gears 1,2,3 did not have the guts to take it to the redline in 4th or 5th.
1st gear is a tyre shredding joyride to 30kmph
2nd is good for 60kmph
3rd for 100kmph- will rev higher, but, acceleration tapers off after 110 in 3rd.

Wheelspin in 1st if launched at 3000rpm persists all the way till the clutch is depressed for an upshift to 2nd.
The UV tracks completely straight under hard acceleration in 1st 2nd and 3rd.
No pulling to the side or any drama of that sort that I'm used to from the front wheel drive cars that I normally flog. Ahhhh the Joys or Rear wheel drive.
The launches are so effortless and idiot proof unlike the other 2 FWD common rails that I'm used to.

Please note
1.K&N stock replacement filter used
2.I weigh 80kgs, my brother a 100kgs
3.Timed using a digital stopwatch
4.speedo error not accounted for.

Petrols have more reason to weep now. The UV is squarely in sedan territory with respect to straightline speed and acceleration. Now about the handling....
