thanks anish... you wanna trade it to your 9xx ?

just kidding. the 993 is the best looking 911 IMO.

will keep you posted on the progress.... which due to unforseen family reasons is stalled for now but should pick up soon

Speedsport Ji

Why did you need to seam weld the whole chasis ??

Was the old lady or should I say "old man" showing it's age or was it simply to strengthen the structure in order to take the kind of "kindness" you shower on your cars ???
A small sample of which we saw at the autocross or is it something more technical ?

Some pictures of the body shell would be nice !

Cheers

Are you going to retain the same colour or give it a new look alltogether.
Any changes like different alloys or something?

@ricky : the car originally ran 170 horsepower and even the fastest E30 M3 evo II ran close to 250-260 horse power and am once its done its going to be a lot more than that. so to eliminate any chassis flex and so that over time things dont sheer off seam welded it (it is close to 20years old) went ahead with this.. it was a pain in the *#% thou.

@abhinav : hmm.. going to paint it some shade of silver just havent zeroed in on which one. was running 15s but because of bigger brakes now have to run atleast 17s. a set of BBS RS wheels are on there way and in deep sea right now .

here are some more pics that i just found.. the delphin metalic is mine and the silver one with the cookie cutter wheels is something we picked up and fixed for a friend. excuse the huge tire profile, and the cheap korean tires.(they came with the car and now have been changed)

cheers,

phil

Nice car, but are u planning to retain the LHD, or are you converting it to RHD?? Considering this is going to be a performance car, wont LHD be a pain to drive??

@jayd : i did think of a right hand conversion but end of the day i think i'll leave it the way it is. had it for 7-8 years now and drove it all over the southern part of india when i was in college.

@manikjeet : yes this is dr. sehgals old car. does he still have the saab ?
