Has anyone used these air refreshners ?

I was browsing over the net and found these interesting items. I am not sure if they work but considering few of the reviews and the nice pricing, I was just wondering if they are any good ?

Here is the link to these:

If anyone has used them, can they use tell their experience about them ? I am really very much inclined to experiment.

I have used Golf Trophy many years back and it was more of a show piece than a freshener.

Thanks for the reply Mukesh. It seems I should steer clear of those things

never use air-freshners in you car...when i say never its means NEVER!

ever wondered how bad smell come from your car every time you switch on the AC?

and then you use air freshners in the car which only mask the smell and not make the smell go away!

air freshners are chemicals which when sprayed inside a car are sucked into a running AC unit of the car and the chemical passes through the blower motor into the fins of the evaporator and get stuck there!

and guess what happens then?.....the fins of the evaporator are very fine and narrow which helps in formation of bacteria and fungus.

evaporator is a small radiator fitted in your dash board just behind the center AC vents.

so next time on your vehicle's service get your evaporator cleaned, rather than spraying chemicals inside your car, which ofcourse are harmfull.

cheers:

No no sir ji. You took it wrong.
These products aren't any odour suppressors, they generate some kinda ozone that helps in increased oxygen in the car cabin. And, thus, help is making the air fresh.

The air freshening properties of ionizers are disputed. I've made my own once and there is one property of it that has come in useful - it attracts dust to itself. The area around and on the freshener's electrode accumulates all the dust from the air that goes past it. Other than that, I haven't noticed any real improvements.

Also, do note that Ozone is an aggressive oxidizer and tends to react harshly to just about everything. I'm guessing that these things don't produce much ozone, if any at all, but any real quantities will corrode leather and plastic trim.
