Draped Dashboards

I was wondering if it would be possible to drape the dashboard of a SWIFT (or for that matter any other car) in leather like they do for high end exotics... like ferrari/lambo/aston martin/bentley. Anyone has experimented with this !

Any preferred vendors.

Never heard of Ovian. Do you have any contacts for them in Delhi.
Stanley is very expensive.

I had once done this on my first generation Scorpio which I've sold off some years back. The top and facing sides of the dash were covered in leather, matching with the leather on the seats and door-pad. The job was done in Cochin, the leather came from Bangalore. Was a pretty good job and was nice to see, touch and smell. Let me search whether I've got a photo. But cost me a bomb back then (Rs. 45 or 50 thousand in all, if my memory is right).

I just want to improve the looks of the air con controls, can this be done? The Cedia air con conrtols look horrible. Just the worst thing about an otherwise super car.

For the entire job, sir.

And I'm kinda crazy when it comes to accessorising cars and then selling them off at 20- 25,000km and losing money. Trying hard to stop, but can't.

Thanks, but that Scorpio was sold off some years back- it was a Gen- I Scorpio, non- CRDe. I'll hunt for her pics in the weekend. Let me see if there are some. The pics were clicked on my first camera mobile, so I have written them on a CD.

My current M Hawk has just leather seat covers.

Re: Draped Dashboards

Digging up an old thread:

I want to wrap some parts of my Storme's interiors with art leather. This is to protect the plastic parts. Been carrying stuff in the last row of late, and the plastics are getting nicked. ( The seats are already out to make room for luggage )

Any place in Bangalore for this ?
condor is online now   (2) Thanks
