Suggestion on Fog Lamps

Me and another friend of mine are planning to put in a nice pair of Fog Lamps to our cars and would appreciate all help regarding this from make to the best way of mounting them. We would like to have those nice round ones a little big in size which would give a nice sporty character to the front of the car. Both of us do a fair bit of Highway driving so a nice sweep would be something that would be good to have.
I have a Zen 2001 model (Old one) and my friend has a Santro 2006 model.

For the Santro go for the OEM lamps. Essentially fog lamps are similar to headlamps but with a more diffuse pattern. The idea is to illuminate the road with less glare.

What is important is to mount the fog lamps as low as possible (preferably inside ro below the fenders). This will reduce the back scatter and hence gare to the driver. My own way at night in fog is to switch on the side lights (so that the rear lamps are lit) and the fog lamps (and sometimes the headlamps on dip).

Definitely not a good idea. Keep then low - say at a level like on top of the bumper, but make sure the front is behind the plane of the bumper.

I don't think you are looking for a fog lamp. What you are looking for is driving lights or spot lights. Fog lamps are exactly opposite.

Exactly, a good fog has diffuse light and does not give a spot anywhere.
