If you remove the front bumpers, you will notice a chassis member infront of the radiators. Its really big in comparison with that of the lancers. I guess the fiat is simply over engineered ( or is it that the other cars are engineered that way )

Ohh I have seen it when I was at the Fiat workshop seeing a car getting stripped for paint. I noticed it was quite big too. But are you serious about converting everything to fibre for light weight? The mod will make it a bit dangerous to drive, wouldn't it?

I am only converting the hood, side fenders and rear hatch lid as of now. Will be using a denser fibre. So should be pretty much ok. I'll let you know once the work is done.
