Thanx Jaggu, the jeep has done 30,000 km to date.

I am sorry I did not quite understand your question with regard to the fuel map.

I am using a fully synthetic 5W50 OWS engine oil. You can read details by clicking on the link below:

Nice review, Farhan. Great to see you're completely satisfied.

Not much of a surprise though. Pete's have some good products, backed up by great after-sales support and customer service.

Try Chevron Delo 400 or the Mobil Delvac MX, install a Green Cotton 'storm' filter and coupled with the Pete's box see the difference..

Congrats on the Pete's box. You should try timing the in gear acceleration to be even more surprised. The performance jump has to be felt to believed. Numbers dont say everything.
It is such fun melting the tyres on RWDs with the Pete's box.

About synthetic oils for diesels-There is talk about synthetics being too thin/free flowing, and therefore "weeping" past seals and getting into turbos, true or not?
My intercooler was clogged with oil after I used fully synthetic. now running on Delvac MX which is changed every 5k. Did I imagine it? I must say-engine felt much smoother and less noisier with fully synthetic.

Hahahaha, yet another BHPian smitten by the "magic blue box". Great review. Performance improvement is pretty much in line with what we experienced in Rt's Octavia.

How about pictures of the install, Sideways? Also, it would be great if you time your runs using a Gtech Pro. Whats the total mileage on your Scorpios odo?

Just what I was thinking. Of course, that's until you encounter an MHawk with a Petes box

I wonder whether scorpio needs this, because it already has got a good work horse powering it.
Your performance improvements in figures shows a lot of promise. Between how did you measure these timings. Just curious to know

Nice review Farhan. Yet another great application of the famed dubba! Do post some pics of the install. Pity I can't get one of these for my non-CRDe Scorp.

Regarding the brakes - how are you planning to improve them?

I think he mentioned he did rolling starts and used a simple stop watch.

Congrats for the Magic BOx..

But do keep the reviews coming.

Where do you get the engine oil changed?? Doesnt Mahindra voids warranty for an oil not recommended?

Sideways,

Congrats and great to go through the write up! I drive an mHawk(done 13000+km till date) and was eager to go for this but was discouraged to do so, as mHawk already has good low end torque and pick up!
Happy Motoring!!

My Bad. He had explained the testing method quite clearly. But once I reached this point of his review, my eyes jumped to the 0 to 100 timings given in bold.

Wonderful review Farhan

The CRDe is a gem of an engine on the Scorpio. Very refined for a Mahindra. You review shows how happy you are with your box . And the pricing is not bad at all. Do keep this thread updated as the days pass and you use the box more.

Congratulations on the Peted Scorpio. It now has more sting.

An excellent and cost effective idea. Especially the Delo 400(one of the best mineral based oils out there).
But our man has the beans to run a synthetic oil already...
However, I'm not too sure on how the OWS will run in a diesel environment. Sideways, please enlighten more in this regard.

True. I've felt the same with most service centres.
But, we also have a completely opposite recommendation on here .

Lovely review Farhan bhai! Glad to know you're having fun with it. And as for braking, may I suggest a tyre upgrade first??

I'm waiting for 10k kms to happen on my car before I get the blue box!
