Boosted Elantra CRDI!

Boosted Elantra CRDI!-size3.jpg

People have written a lot about elantra crdi's so dont want to continue saying the same things but would just want to discuss about the performance mods done for it and its future upgrades.

Mods till date

petes box stage 2 (rs.19000)
Green cotton filter (rs.4100)
Shell synthetic oil
Michelin pp2 205/55/15 - (rs.22000)
Intercooler - 22k (To be Fixed)
Greddy Profec B Spec 2 - boost controller (rs.28000)

There are lot of people who have helped me in deciding and implementing the mods and to name a few tadu, rahul and sameel etc..

will be writing review on 'Greddy Profec B Spec' boost controller shortly.

Hooahh Raj! Finally I get to see the list of mods that I was waiting for, looks like you'll beat satya to the review of the boost controller/intercooler upgrade I'll be keeping a very close eye on this thread. Btw are you having any smoke issues at the stage 2 setting on the Pete's? Most that I know run it on stage 1 setting because of this reason(ie,1 setting above normal). Do keep updating this thread regularly Raj. All the best.

Godspeed

Rajeev! Atlast you try to unveil the beast under the hood. Many will vouch that its one of the fastest elantra on the forum ,huh satya might have a problem agreeing to it though . Do post the details brother, and will be glued to this thread for sure.

Ice, Ardy - Thanks dude.

vkochar - sure, when are you coming to bangalore?
After petes stage II, green cotton filter it should be around 137-140bhp
source Pete's Automotive Products Pvt Limited.

maverick030581 - Will be doing intercooler upgrade next month.
As there will be more fuel pumped in there will be a bit of black smoke coming out but there is no issues as such.

VJ_MAVRICK - sure dude, thanks bro.

swift8847 - Detailed report on boost controller is on its way.

hey buddy
nice to see that you are letting out the details hehe.
well here is an input from my side.
you are all set to get a bigger turbo right?
ever tried setting the boost controller to give boost according to gear! set the boost to around 1.5 bar ~ 22ps in top gear!!

do think of a remap! all you will need is a KWP2000 flasher.
the ECU is EDC15C2 its an easy unit to remap. in the sense that everything is speed controlled. if you are cool with RD guys then i know an associate of his. Ashwin
they should be able to give you a remapped piggy back( the safe bet!). if not i will help you out on the remapping! .

just get in that intercooler. you will be forced to up the boost cause thee will be an automatic drop intake pressure if a bigger intercooler is used. and do a straight remap!
more later going to hit the gym.

cheers

rjstyles69 : Thanks dude, fully blown review of the build will be done only after intercooler installation.

siddartha : Elantra is a wonderful car for tracks but will eat up tyres pretty much faster as it has a heavy nose. I remember tadu changing tyres just for one track day.

vikram_d : I have not tested mine with boost controller ON as i have not installed intercooler but as we tested in satyas car it was around 7.35sec. This was tested using tadus iPhone, see the picture below.

vineethvazhayil - you can see the attached picture.

No plans for bigger turbo as for now, first let me get used to the extra power.
