Restoration project Of my 1989 BMW E30 316i

Hi,

After a long time waiting for the spare required to restore my BMW E30 1989 Imported in India in 1996.

Finally have received 90% spares and started the restoration of E30.
I was waiting from a long time to work on this.

I Owned this car last year and it was not in good condition.

Third No Piston and connecting Rod was badly wear out. Engine was not in condition to even run 10 km. Still i picked the car and bring it to my workshop. Lots of vibration was there and no brakes. Suspension was also not so good.

The vehicle was neat in exterior condition but not running well.

I wanted to get the engine overhauled asap so that i can drive my car and test the rest problems in it. As gone to arrange the spare i got the engine of E36 and it was also 316i. I get the engine and fix it in my car with some modifications in engine lower oil chamber. Now the problem was to start the engine as it was driven by Bosch Motoronic 1.7 and my car originally Bosch Motoronic 1.3. As i also got the 1.7 controller but it was repaired once and i was not getting confidence to fit the repaired 1.7 controller.

So i asked one person in khan market to help me and he said its not the job of kids. Send the car to me i will start it. I asked them for the expanse and they said me the price which i cant afford. Then i shared this problem with my Friend Tushar Bhatia and he said if i arrange the wiring diagram will it help u. I replied yes bro and the wiring diagram was arranged by Tushar Bhatia. After study of diagram fro 3 days i started working on the wiring. Now i was trying to start the Engine on My original Bosch Motoronic 1.3 controller. The work was started by 11am and next day by 1:30 the engine was start in second self.

Now the engine was start and ready for testing the rest things in the car.
There were poor brakes. Suspension was in very bad condition.
Then i decided to give my car at some professional workshop and done the same as i was not able to spare much time from my work. I spend a lot on it but i have seen that i have wasted the money by giving the car outside.

Then decide to make a list and arrange spares first then will restore it myself.

And finally the project Restoration BMW E30 started.
