Surprising. Petes claims to have sold decently good number of boxes to Linea owners but no report. My plan to buy on is deferred at another couple of months.

Won't it void the warranty if you pete your new car?

Nope! Just remove the box before you take it for service. Its really easy to remove/connect.

This sums it up. You do void the warranty but can hoodwink the dealership. See the article in the July issue of ACI. Pete claims with over 3000 upgrades there has not been a single failure. Also, here the same engine figures in the Maruti and Tata stables, so there should be even less worry.

BTW has anyone tried the alternatives to the Pete's Box, like Rapid and others?

I will be looking for a pete's box for my punto in the next month or two. I believe it will improve driveability in the city (not that its bad in stock setup), the top end will be a bonus. Any clues? Sent an email to Pete's as well.

Want To Modify Grand Punto Mjd Emotion Pack By Petes

HI GUYS

Just booked a silver Punto mjd emotion pack . But I am not happy with the performance of the car I want to modify it by fitting a Petes chip to increase performance. Can anybody tell me how much will the performance increase . The std car does 0-100 kph in 17.84 secs . Petes tuned car will do it in how many secs.

dont expect too much on the 0-100, you might knock off 2 secs. the real difference will come with the in gear acceleration times and also in improving the driveability in the city. Those are the main reasons to get the tuning box.

Taking into account the performance gain, the convenience and the reliabilty, no other mod comes close to tuning boxes for diesels.

Enquire with them for a remap, that will give you much bigger gains, especially if combined with minor intake and exhaust mods
