Hey TurboIndia,

The TATA Safari is a really underpowered vehicle and it has said to have a intercooler as well as a Turbo. Is it possible to fit a chip in this car. Safari owners would love this chip. Even Indigo owners would love to have a chip for their Indigo but it seems its not worth risking the engine on the indigo. Also the Innova has a CRDi engine plant and after test driving the car i wasnot satisfied with the power of it. So is it possible for a chip for either the Innova, Safari or a Scorpio CRDe or Endeavour(really underpowered vehicle)??

The Innova unit is in the pipe line. Should be ready by a month or so. We are not planning on a unit for the Tata vehicles since these engines are not known for its reliability and our principals will do a unit for an engine only after detailed testing. We may do the Scorpio but havn't decided for sure yet.

Thanks for your suggestions though.

Rgds,

Peter

Pete's tuning box review

Overdrive is carrying a review of Pete's tuning box(diesel). They tried it on their long term Elantra, Accent, Octavia and the Merc C220

Most cars are quicker by about 2 secs to 100 and give better fuel eco in normal mode. there is a performance mode 2 which requires K&N filters etc.,

There long term octavia was the best performer with 0-100 taking 12 sec instead of 15+
Elanra did 0-100 in 11.19 sec instead of 13.4 sec something.

Looks like it actually works great, and if you look at the fuel economy improvements its worth its price.
And fitting is so easy that its a DIY. Since Tata now has an ECU for diesel, any idea if the same thing is available for indigo TDi?

No we have not done a endaevour mainly because the fuel system is a little complicated. And we dont have a plug and play unit for the endaevour. Connecting on to the ECU is a bit dicey so we decided to stay away,

But if you are really interested we can get you a unit in around 2 weeks time.

Hi! Peter,
I have an Accent GLS Petrol 1.5ltr. Do you have any of your amazing products for petrol engines> Nice mags on your demo car. Are they 13" or 14", How much did they cost?
Rgds

Man Pete's performance products rocks for sure,just drove an octy with the same and my mouths wide open ...20bhp more which translates it to 110bhp, from the stock 90.Now thats worth every penny you spend considering there is no loss in FE. Congrats Peter for coming up with something like this for the diesel heads
They say the following are applicable:
E270CDI = +20BHP
C200CDI = +24BHP
C220CDI = +19BHP
ACCENT CRDI = +16BHP
ELANTRA = +18BHP
TERRACAN = +20BHP
TUCSON = +20BHP
OCTY 1.9TDI = +20BHP

Now its time to tell the petrol heads

You need to drive it to feel it. nobody believes what we claim until they drive it. Thx for the words. The Pete's tuning box is one helluva product no doubt.
It is an experience never thought possible on a DIESEL,

And artofzen NO I was not there with them,
