The engine bay pic shows a Hindustan Motors VIN plate. That means this is an Indian Lancer with a EVO swap engine.

I must say this is a very poor entry in the Tuner Showcase section. A couple of pics with no descriptions and no figures leaving everybody guessing does not show professionalism of a tuner.

If it is a convert then why the statement, 'Stock Engine'? if it is a lancer so should not it read, mivec swap?

No ,bro. This is a 4G63T 2000cc AWD swap.
Mivec would be a 4G92 1600cc Front wheel drive.

Ok might be, dont know about mitsu swaps, thanks for the info, but still, the first post reads as stock engine and a EVO IV so this should mean that it is an import

They take Indian old stock lancer, remove its engine, import an evo4 engine with 1/2 cut & rear, and paste it to a Lancer. So its an Indian car with foreign engine.

The AWD system has been grafted on as well, looks like. That means transmission, rear cradle, susp etc.

KS,

Its a wonderful entry from your side to start with. But we request you to spend some time on the keyboard whenever you find time away from the dyno and the nut bolts.

A Lancer EVO and B16 OHC are dreams of many here and a detailed description on how it happens, what should the owner except and the relevant options is something that many/most are looking since ages. There are many posts about Lancer EVOs, Mivecs but all lack one thing or the other.

Also, you may also wish to describe a tuner experience in converting a Lancer to EVO. I am sure you must have faced some hurdles in doing the job. Would make an interesting read for us about how a tuner too scratches his head when things don't go the planned way.

Karan,

Classy white Lancer. Can we have more details

1. Reason for EVO IV and not EVO VI conversion?

2. List of modifications?

3. Dyno reading?

4. 0 - 100 / 1/4 mile timings?

5. Total cost of the project?

Cost. Increases with every model of the EVO kit. ie.Evo 6<Evo 7<Evo 8.
If there is any other reason, I'm keen to know.

Along with this the maintenance part , as got news that we need to change engine oil (synthetic) for every 2k kms.

Hello,
Since I was the first one in this section,I dint know what all to write about.I needed some questions from u gusy so that I can explain

I have written it as stock engine b/c no engien mod have been done to it.Its as is from Japan.

The choice of making a 4 or a 6 is only availablity and cost like some one said.

Maintanance is not much..may be only the clutch is abused alot .

Like Jetu said..its a "cut copy paste"....

The cost is about 11 laks for a 4......

I will put up an evo 6 article soon...and one more of a very special machine

More questions will be answered in a bit

Karan
