Yeah not a normal one for sure.
and what about the engine check light,is it still on???
Not sure about the correct price, but my cousin had purchased S drives for his swift, and they had costed him around 5K per tyre.

Yeah the engine check light stays on, makes you remember it is not a "normal car"

The S Drive is scarce, hence the price if I remember correctly is north of 5k, will update on Monday, that is when I will know, what the exact number is !!

8 months back, I got a quote of around INR 5,500 per tyre in Chennai. Since I was going to use the car only for a month, I got Maxxis in the same size for much cheaper.

What size are your tyres & what price did you pay ? The size I need is 205/55/R15. I used Maxxis on my Lancer some years back, they were just fine. But then the only thing is the Swift is putting out almost double the power out compared to the Lancer.

Cheers

I got 195/50/15 (or 195/55/15, not sure) for around INR 3,300. The S drives are good tyres, but expensive.

Re: "The First" from the SPEEDSPORT stable !!

The car got a fresh set of YOKOHAMA S-Drives 205/55/15's today. The difference in the drive is huge. As the earlier tyres had hardened. One could see (if seen very closely) micro cracks on the side walls.

So off I went to STAR WHEELS in Gurgaon & got the fresh set of S-Drives installed. Excellent Service, great guy to deal with, has indepth knowledge of tyres.

Some pictures of the same !! The First 2 Pics are with the Potenza G3's - yeah they still had 50% tread left !!

Ricky your ride looks hot . I have heard bad reviews about potenza G 3 . S drives are great tyres btw . Your alloys have same looks of BBS wheels .

I for one never had a "bad" experience with the G3's, so cannot say. The S-Drive is new it obviously feels a lot nicer. The ride quality has improved a lot

Cheers

@Ricky_63 - Excellent Compilation, enjoyed reading the entire 27 pages of it, thanks a ton for sharing the info, I have a been bit shy of ever going to mod route, but your build certainly does inspire confidence.

Thanks again for sharing the work. Best - ML.

You actually read 27 pages !!! Now that is what I call enthusiasm. Thank you for the appreciation. This thread is like a log for the Swift. I put up whatever goes on with it. Sometimes it is fun to read what you did 2 or 3 years back !!

Re: "The First" from the SPEEDSPORT stable !!

UPDATE

The S-Drives are doing great - though I have not had the chance to really "test" them because of the rains...but the difference between the older (& hard) GIII's & the S-Drives is HUGE

Loving the difference. Improved braking is the first thing that I noted. Once I get a chance to do some "tests" shall surely post my impressions !!

Re: "The First" from the SPEEDSPORT stable !!

Dude, them S-Drives look sexy.
I have a little suggestion, get rid of those ricer/cheap looking mud flaps. They are sticking out like a sore thumb.
Maruti makes some real sexy Hard Plastic (same material as that of the bumper) Mudflaps for the Swifts. Get them instead. Ask any MASS or Authorised MGP Dealer to get them for you.
Thumbs up for your ride otherwise.

LOL !! Ya the S-Drives are nice. As for the chepo mudflaps !! LOL again. I had told the garage to put in MGP stuff, but when I got the car, it had these Believe me they do the job better than the MGP ones & they DO NOT look cheepo - but then thanks for your views any which way
