Thanks for reminding me The car is going great guns. Infact, I am waiting to see if the F1 circuit opens for novices, I shall certainly go & do a run & see what all it can smoke.

Done more than 5000 kms - runs like a dream. But may need a brake upgrade !!

Talking of upgrades thinking of doing up the engine with forged internals & bumping up the boost, then the brake upgrade is justified.

Post that (this is all subjective) take it to the course & let it loose. See if she burns out or burns the others....Do not know if my old rickety bones will hold up with the boost LOL LOL

So far so good. Starting problem still plays up every now & then though !!!

Cheers

Re: "The First" from the SPEEDSPORT stable !!

Thats great to know your car is running well.

I would suggest burn more kms on it before going in for forged internals, one has to first exploit the true potential for some time before upgrading but yeah its hard to resist the temptation.

What is with the starting issues now, I believe a change in fuel pump was done to rectify it, didnt it work out.

Winters are around the corner, so I believe it will become a pain again for you if not sorted out.

Best of Luck...

Re: "The First" from the SPEEDSPORT stable !!

You see the car is used occasionally now. The main drive is the Pajero, hence the mileage run is low.

Having said that. Let us see if the winters bring any unforeseen problems. If they do, Phil has a headache headed his way !!

Which he needs to worry about, not me.

Cheers

Will do once I really "use" the brakes As yet I am waiting for the 100 kms mark..

Cost is touching 8k........need to see if the performance matches the expense, I am sure it will. Should be 50% better than stock pads, is what I was told. Seems real, but let us see in real world situations..............

Cheers

The Mintex pads are G R E A T in every sense, except that the squeal once they bed in :-)
The stopping power is hugely better than stock, so your confidence at speeds goes up many-fold....

Great performance pads, though a tad expensive

Cheers

Re: "The First" from the SPEEDSPORT stable !!

The WINTER finally got the Swift !! The battery just went for a toss, could have lasted after a re-charge, but that is not what I would do ever.

So went in for an AMARON 3 year warranty, INR 3400 after exchange, home delivered & fitted

The new battery made her sputter to life, in the third crank !! So did a little bit of low flying (today being Sunday)

Another day in the life of the monster

Cheers

Thats great. You have them over the stock discs?
Can you tell me the product number of the mintex pads. I was also thinking of getting a set from UK. I am getting the MDB2796 for 30 pounds excl vat.

SUZUKI Swift III (SG) 1.3 Front Mintex Brake Pads - Mintex Brakes Online

Is this the right one?

Even I got my Zen's battery changed to Amaron GO today. Got it for 2700 with 36 months warranty.

My car would be reluctant to start early in the morning but would be fine when the temperatures rose. But today, it was completely dead.

And yes, it feels much better when the car starts without a fuss when you really want it to early in the morning.

AMARON is the way to go !! My Swift a 2006 ZXi was running on the factory fitted AMARON since. All my car batteries (replacements) have been AMARON & they are trouble free (so far)

Cheers

Re: "The First" from the SPEEDSPORT stable !!

Took the liberty of un-leashing the monster within the Swift....on a world class road (wish I had made a video)..when she crossed 165 kmph, just happened to notice & the instant reaction was slow down man you are not 25 anymore !!!!!

The thrill was unbelieve - able as was the performance of the car.

All credit to Speed Sport aka Phil

cheers

Re: "The First" from the SPEEDSPORT stable !!

Sir, I am not trying to pull you down, but, isn't this a speed a stock Swift may do easily on an open road?

But yes, a lot matters as to how fast you reached that speed, a video would have surely been helpful.

But at the end of the day, your Swift is definitely a FAST CAR!!!!
