My swift has completed 900km took her on a mini blasting session. Shifted gears at 3.5k rpm and it managed 145's in under a kilometer. The rear feels dicey at those speeds (thx to the stock tires), apart from it the car feels like a two stroke bike with a 1500 rpm power band. Planning to use Mobil fully synthetic oil in my next oil change. Another 1000km to go for the RD ECU :( . Currently my car gives abt 14-15Kpl in city Is this good ??

revving beyond 3.5k is pointless on a stock car. Gradually go up to 3.5k, hope you didnt jump from the 2.5 during running in yesterday to ripping at 3.5 today. Mileage is pretty good for in city running in period.
If you have decided on synthetic, please consider OWS turbo racing. Far better than mobil 1.
Else consider delvac 1 for mobil, which is a diesel specific synthetic

Ripper..regarding your bulb question - I use Osram Silverstars 55/60 and for the price (180 per bulb) the performance is pretty good. Low beam throw hasn't increased much but the lighted area is much brighter. The high beam throw is much better than stock. Don't get the blue light version though. Will PM you the distributor's number incase you are interested in this option.

guys..interesting mileage figures...the worst i've got is 14.96 and the best was 19. The bad figure is on 205/60 R14s that I'm currently on and no highway drives. On an average i get around 16.5 for a 500km weekly cycle which includes 250km of highways. The rest 250 km is the office run in which the average speed would be around 30 kmph.

Drive on,
Shibu.

@Ripper I was doing 2.7 - 3 k from last 2 days. I shall be giving the car for service tomm.. I'll stick to OWS and after the service can I start using shell super diesel ?? Or should I use the regular diesel for another 1000 km

A superb - 200bhp/green cotton filter/bilstein b6 /milotec kittup

Getz CRDI - Now only K&N filter ( removed the petes box as it was too much for the chassis and brakes)

my mad white swift -
Remapped to 120bhp (claimed by peter)
Cat back HKS Exhaust (its not remus muffler)
custom down pipe
green cotton storm filter
Hybrid turbo (Max boost -20psi now)/boost gauge
Koni FSD shocks / stock springs
Borbet LV4 15inch rims
ICE - Front Genesis audiophile 2 way comps/ rear Rainbow coax / IDq sub / alpine amps / Hu - alpine 9887/ full body damping dynamat xtreme

i have to figure out how to post pictures on this forum . i will try and upload it onto my blog at flickr. questions are most welcome

Finally, the real deal. Heard a lot about you and your cars. welcome to TBHP.
Didnt know yours was a catback exhaust. Ajay told me it was an endcan.

Heard that you had retuned a few days ago for another remap to bump up the power again
How is your clutch doing?

well i will take a few quality pictures and upload in a couple of days and start a new thread. yup ripper i have retuned my car recently .the diff i noted is the power gains after 3500 rpm . the car just goes into a different dimension. my car is obviously heavier due to the ICE and damping i have. the tyres are a bit oversized as well. looking for advan neova ad7 205/55/15 as the old ones are almost bad. cluch is not at its best but can use it for another 10k easily accoring to peter.

will get back later. busy day ahead.

So are these cars going to be used as ambulances in case of emergencies ?

was hoping you'd try 195/60/r15. will slow your car down less. 205 seems to be overkill for me even on s drives. 205 neovas will really bog you down.
My next tyre change- is atleast a year away- and having reviews of that tyre size in a similarly powered car will be useful.
So, my motive for recommending that size is not entirely unselfish

i was using bridgestone turanza 195/60/15 prior to these and well the car was noticably quicker (initial). i changed them because the ride was bad . now with the fsds and 205/60/15 tyres it rides very well but i am not happy with the initial pickup. Are advan neovas comfortable or just too hard ? i dont like pps as they are very stiff.c my daily commute has lot of very bad streches of road so i want something that gives me an optimum balance between ride and handling. please advice.

Neova's are on the harder and noisier side. Stick to 195's, beyond that its an overkill. You can take a look at Conti's for your needs.
