Rayzer

@Ashm99, the product looks intresting. What was the price for the unit ? Can you share the set up in your Innova, with pics of actual usage at night ? I did check their web-site, but was not able to make out how correct the video is. The pics did seem to show better lighting at the sides too.

Also, the installation manual says to not leave this in the car in summer, or extreme winters. If it cannot stand Swedish summers, can it withstand Indian summer heat ?

The external dimensions of the unit have a fixed shape. So how can this be adapted to the different cars, since the incline of the windshield of each car will be different.

Re: Auxiliary Lamps

@condor, found the following while searching about Rayzer.

"The Rayzer currently only works with angled windshields, however a vertical windshield product will be available this year."

Even I would be interested for one, but the price seems to be very high, some sites are quoting 995$.

Re: Auxiliary Lamps

MRP of the Rayzer Kit in India is only 25k ! I found it quite less than other countries around the world. Contact points for Rayzer installation were given in that ad. Mentioning below for your reference -

Bangalore - 99163-32255
Mumbai - 98920-29279
Chennai - 98406-77000
Kerala - 98952-53201

Installation hardly took around 10 minutes. Dealer (Popular Car Accessroies, Malad, Mumbai) didn't charge me anything extra for installation.

Re: Auxiliary Lamps

As much as the concept is intresting, I was not able to find much review of the product, even though it is said to be around for about 3-4 years now.

Re: Auxiliary Lamps

Friends,

Checking Hella Rallye 500 FF or Comet 500 for Scorpio.
What is the difference in Rallye and Comet? Anything specific beams/reflectors used?
Will fitting them on Nudge bar need any clamping or is it a direct fit?

I am looking for highway illumination for frequent trips.

Please advice.

How is it like?Since you seem to have already installed it? Does it differ drastically?

Hey Ashm99... could you upload pictures of the installation in the Innova? Do you think it will fit inside a Scorpio? Could you please post a few pictures of how the beams look like without the headlights switched on? Is it anything like the advertisement? What is the response from oncoming traffic? Since it is mounted inside, does it sit flush with the windscreen? Is there any reflection INSIDE the cabin when these lights are on? Would really appreciate pictures.

Re: Auxiliary Lamps

I called the bangalore number, and he confirmed the price is 25k. He hasn't fitted it yet for a Scorpio - will probably test it out next week.

These can't be fit on the Scorpio. The car needs to have a less acute sloping windshield. It will fit most sedans or hatchbacks though.

Re: Auxiliary Lamps

this rayzer thingie looks awesome BUT won't it be a danger for oncoming traffic?? I mean such a level of light throw will blind the oncoming traffic for sure as it is also installed at a higher level than the usual light place i.e. on the inside RVM, which will be eye level for the oncoming traffic.
