This looks stunning, I'm eager to see the end product soon.
How's the process going?

Hmm... the picture looks good. I remember once watching on TV how designing of hand built cars are done first using wood/clay. This is done much before the first prototype is produced. You work seems to be on similar lines. Can we have some more shots of the WIP .

Hi there everyone.
Its been a while since i posted, but i've been extremely busy at the workshop,
As Sunil mentioned, Don's thermocol's work has absolutely nothing related to what our Goal is. the only purpose to put up his work is to encourage him to churning out more classy jobs, and more importantly to give ourselves( particularly me ) a lot more confidence
This being our first Car, its going to be extremely difficult and intimitating working from a plain drawing. I have had a lot of doubts and difficulties which had to be cleared before we just jumped into the profiling, We have actual started profiing some time last week and we will see where we reach soon.
Withrespect to the Wip Photos, pls be patient, i am the one responsible for requesting Sunil / Reitz to not update any until we have profiled the complete vehicle.

We'll be back soon with some stunning pics.

I think the pictures posted above are old pics (look at the dust on the car). These folks are hiding the latest development from us.:-)))

Nigel, we are expecting some really STUNNING pictures soon

Nice conclusion on the pics, they are old for sure, but we are soon going to be showing you some new skin,
Sunil and myself were working consistently the whole of yesterday and i must say we exceeded our own expectations, as said earlier being a first car we were intimidated with the sheer volume of thermocole, but since yesterday we are gaining in confidence.
I expect to complete the profiling hopefully by Sunday ( whole car ), will permit Photos to be updated then.

STunning would now be an understatement.

Hi Nigel / Sunil,

I am from Pune and working in Mumbai. I have recently joined TBHP. I saw your thread right from beginning, and a cool nostalgia came over me. Actually the car you are modifying (MH06-C-8626) was owned by the VC of our Engineering University in Raigad. I was so crazy about contessas that on our convocation day I got myself clicked alongwith this Contessa. Shall upload the photo when I will be back home in Pune on Saturday. I grew up in a small village at Kolad on NH17, and used to observe Contessas (very few though). Atlast I got my Contessa in 2003, when I started earning, and satisfied my burning desire to own one.
Would like to meet you guys in Pune, where I come every weekend.
Regards,
Abhijeet.

Hi there. We are waiting for a v8 we were about to source from abroad. we also have one available in pune. the only trouble is the pune one is without a gearbox .So our first preference is the one from UK. the only trouble is, that one is painstakingly getting delayed. so hang on dear friends better late than never because if the v8 from UK doesnt work. the pune one is always there.

Hi abhijeet.its such a great feeling to know your link to my car in the past. The car was a little bit costly affair but i am very happy with her. infact i dont know if i had mentioned it earlier i had blown up my car engine after a week i brought it. i was trying to know how fast she goes on the expressway...stupid me.

I was uploading them and it took time to resize.

I have uploaded the pics now, I never knew you guys were so fast to get on the net and post a request before I upload.

I am really sorry for the delay as I was a bit busy with my personal work, but finally I got your updates.

Mates I strongly feel the work has comeup excellent.

I now request you guys to please rate this thread

This would be our support and encouragement to Nigel and Sunil for their amount of efforts already in and to their forthcoming efforts.
