You will need to pay 10$ for shipping to India through Aramex Shop and Ship. If you are lucky Customs duty will be Nil else it will be 15%.

Shop and Ship :: Home

You will connect it to the OBDII socket.

Oh wait - there is a better and cheaper alternative.

UltraGauge Automotive Information Center and OBDII Scan Tool

Buy this - much cheaper but almost similar in functionality to SGII.

You can buy used SGII from ebay USA too:
Ultraguage is dam kool for 60 dollars

Will it fit Ritz ldi is the next biggest question now

Re: Tachometers

Yes it will fit the new K series engine. Actually nothing worked on the older SWif/Ritz. On new ones it works.

Re: Tachometers

You have to take help of Aramex Shop and Ship as I posted above.

Or you can ask a quote from
I2C World

OR
http://myworld.ebay.in/cart2indiaonline/

Give them the product link.

You can also ask 20North. But their rates are a bit on higher side:
20North.com:International shopping from India: Gadgets, Appliances, Electronics, Home, Garden, Tools, Books, Movies, Watch, Sports, Outdoors & More...

If you want - I can help you from buying Amazon through Shop and ship.

If anyone wants, then I am having SG2, which I am not using. It has been lying around as my car does not support OBD2.

Yep it's VFM At 59.9$.
But the only concern is the Metrics. Everything else is in MILES..
If you buy them, surely there's gonna be some Maths involved when converting

Metric option will be available shortly (if not already) as they released a beta version a few month ago and I was offered a beta version for testing though not for free :( - I did not accept as I was not sure that it would work in my Swift.

Re: Tachometers

Guys I think there is some hope for the M800 3 cylinder finally..
I just saw an "A Star" with a tacho which comes as stock from the factory in the Zxi models.
Just need to find out how much it costs.

Re: Tachometers

hey chetan,

Do share the details here. If the tacho can fit an 800, I am it can also work in an Alto.

But the use of an A-star tacho has been considered earlier as well on this forum, I believe. Though, it didn't work out.

Anyways, do share the details as I am also keen on this mod.

Drive safe.

Re: Tachometers

Ok I am in a real dilemma right now. I have an Autogauge tachometer which was earlier installed in my Zen. I wish to get it fitted in my Ritz Lxi. Now I have read that the K-series are slightly more complicated and have some ECU connection thingy and tampering to do. So is it advisable to fit it from any place who do these jobs regualrly or should I ask the Maruti Service Centre guys to do it???

Secondly, I have the 2.5" meter which was placed on the dash. Now because of its length and Mumbai's potholes the meter pod broke and needs to be replaced. Can I get a single pod mounted on the A-pillar instead?? Where would it be available??

I actually want to get it fit next to the 12v socket point on the dash console but that would need some fabrication and the plastic may end up cracking hence want to be safe and go for an A-pillar mount.

Most of the REPUTED car accessories shop will stock the RPM meters.
Try JC Road, there are many shops who have RPM meters.
I had brought Autogauge tachometer for my Zen from JC Road.

For cheaper options, Shivajinagar Gujri meter repair shops, they also stock the Tacho's but mostly the used ones, if lucky you might find one in good condition. BARGAIN hard.
