Hi
Any Idea if i can fix a Tachometer on my Indica Vista TDi Terra? I was told by the service fella that it was all an ICU system and therefore, not possible to fit and blah blah.. So. Let me know if this can really be done or not

Hey Ram, Thanks a lot for this cool piece.

Other still guessing why i thank him. Thats because he sold the tachometer to me .

The Tachometer works great and looks even better (or may be its the other way around). However, the place i got it installed from got only the RPM Meter and the Voltage Indicator working. The Water Temp and the Oil Pressure is was not connected as it was a much more complex process.

I spoke to my MASS guys and they are ready to it if I can get a Wiring/Connection Diagram for this Tachometer. I searched the web quite a bit but was unable to find anything relevant. Can someone with expierance on these gauges please help me with this . I'll post the pics once i have it all working.

Tacho for the Vista TDi

I would like to know if it is possible to fit a Tacho for the Vista Tdi Terra. Has anyone fitted one on their Vista. Please do let me know. Also if i would be affecting the warranty of the vehicle if i did get one fitted.

yes it is very much posible.you do get tachos for diesels..and yes anywhere you fiddle around with the electricals or for that matter any aftermarket part that you put in would void the varranty..!

are you sure about the digital part??...you mean you want to convert your speedo like the one in the civic?..if yes then it would be insanely expensive as it wouldnt just be the speedo console and meters that you would have to change.

I have a Terra Quadrajet.Even I would like to fix one.But What I heard from TASS is ,without cutting wires and other complexity ,Tachometer cannot be fixed. Only other option is ,Whether it is possible to exchange the Terra's dashboard console to that of Aqua's(which contains Tachometer as well). But ,it is almost 99.99% not possible.

Finally have it all fixed and working, almost (Water Temp still pending)

Installed it in the Right Corner on the dash to avoid running to the Mechs after my daughter knocks off some connector

Zenster,

From where did you pick up this piece? It looks really nice! Great to know that you've configued almost all the gauges to work!

Do let me know from where you picked it up in BLR, so i can get one too. Have been looking for a good tach for my Alto for months now.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
gpa

He picked it from me. LOL,

@zenster, I miss this beauty a lot man! Unfortunately it doesn't work with a 3cylinder car :(
Connecting the oil gauge was a big process but it took a couple of minutes to connect the water temp gauge.
Anyways, Looks very good in your car man. Have fun.
