Suggestions on 150 bhp engine, transmission, chassis

Hi all,

I am looking to modify a cielo (convertible) with a 150 bhp+ petrol/ diesel engine and matching transmission. Want to keep the total cost low. Would be using the car 10k a year. Kindly help in suggestions as to what engine & transmission would be suitable and how much would it cost. Thinking of Skoda RS, Honda Accord, Earlier model Merc etc.

The car was nervous with a 100bhp engine [Nexia] you will need to put a lot of work in the chassis, brakes and suspensions.
Best option would be the RS engine.

Buy a second hand RS or a Lancer/Cedia.

Cielo would be hard to maintain and run-over due scarcity of spares and proper mechanics availability. Better is to pick-up a used lancer or cedia, light on pocket while purchasing and running on weekends.
