hi everybody,
this is my first post and i had been going through this thread for a while.as a matter of fact i'm also in the process of modding my contessa, but not to the extend of making it a convertible. instead, i intend to maintain the classic muscular looks and to fit them with all imported custom made accessories including alloys, tyres, lights and other engine performance items-i must say to enhance the looks of the car and to increase the performance of the engine.. all the best for you guys for your project and look forward to see the latest photos.

Sajeev, Please create a new thread for your work instead of merging with this one so confusion could be avoided!

hi,
I have sorted out the lights issues. But, i would be obliged if somebody can help me to find the original.A picture of the dash is atatched.

regarding WIP, as i had mentioned earlier, almost all the items are being made or under transit.

The main problem that i had faced for the mod is that i cannot change the engine as per the rules in Kerala and hence has to be satisfied with the existing 55 hp stuff and by installing some performance items, i hope to gain a few more ponies.

The mechanical part has been fully done.

And for my plans of mod, the following are under process.
  • A Free flow complete stainless steel exhaust
  • K&N cold air intake
  • A Custom modification on the OEM Dash with special meters and LED Indicators
  • Leather front sports seats
  • Custom spoiler (Like a 69 model camaro ss)
  • Custom bumper rear
  • chrome front bumber with LED indicators
  • Chromed custom front grill
  • Modded hood with scoop
  • A Soft top cover on the existing roof
  • special side skirts and wheel arch fenders
  • custom led tail lights
  • Imported 15" BMW rims and Road stone Sports tyres 195/50/R 15
  • Classic look bullet Power mirrors
  • HID lights with green angel eyes and chrome bezels
  • Pioneer dvd, speakers and amp
  • kenwood reverse camera
  • LED number plates
  • Imported Dupont Red paint with 50 % gloss clear (For A matt finish look)
  • custom Decals
Cost incurred so far = approx. 5 L (Including the cost of the car)

Further wish list
  • Turbo chargers
  • Performance fuel injectors and fuel pump
Expected completion of job MAR 2010.

If all the above mods do take place as planned, I'm sure it'll be one of the cleanest Contessa mods this country has ever seen. Good luck to you!
