re: My Turbo charged Baleno - now 116 whp @ 6psi Edit:145whp at 11 psi!

Dynoed the car again at ~10 Psi and got a really impressive figure of 145whp with the stock rear muffler!

According to Red Rooster Performance, this is about 182 Bhp at the wheels! Will post some pictures later, for now here is the Dyno Graph.

WOW WOW & WOW !! This is some impressive number. So the RRP facility is doing more than what it set out to do ! It is actually giving out numbers in real time & realistically so !! Congrats Binz on the build.

Cheers

Impressive figures Binz. In a super light car like Baleno, I wonder what 182 bhp will do. You should be flying. Any guess on 0 to 100 kph figures? Or should I ask 0 to 200 figures for all that crazy wheel spins till you get to higher gears! to settle

Re: My Turbo charged Baleno - now 116 whp @ 6psi Edit:145whp at 11 psi!

Hello all ..

I got a chance to drive to car to hyderabad and take part in the drag that was happening over the weekend.

Clocked a time of 15.126s in pretty much the same trim i drive to college in! Apart from taking out the Rear seat and doorpads, everything else remained the same including the stock exhaust(!), same boost as well as the same map!

Could have done a lot better with good weight reduction, better tyres suspension etc but I'm overall I'm very satisfied with the time considering had only one timed run with one practice run!

The time got me a podium position with a third place trophy and i got to line up with a BMW 530d which i beat quite easily!

Overall it was great being finally able to race it and get a good time .. Credit goes to Psycho and vasu for the build and Rdkarthik from Racedynamics for the ECU and all the support!

Here's a pic of my run with the beemer

Wow !!! That's something, binz. Having added power is one thing. Being able to put it to good use in drags and making it to the podium is another thing. Way to go, man.

BTW, I loved the Baleno beating the BMW part.

Re: My Turbo charged Baleno - now 116 whp @ 6psi Edit:145whp at 11 psi!

The 530d was running on temp plates! but yeah it did put a very big smile on my face after the run!

The biggest smile came with the mileage figure i got on the highway. 17 kmpl with a/c cruising between 100-130 Kmph !

I just hope it was not a 520d rebadged to 530d, coz as I know the 530d makes some serious power !! So that gives me an idea of the power that your Baleno is making

The mileage seems superb !! What do you manage to get in the city ??

Cheers

Congrats Binz.. 182bhp from a 1.6 litre, won't this put too much stress on internal, increased wear and tear?

Can you please share the overall cost?

What are the important guidelines to follow before turbo charging the baleno,

In the city I hardly every drive below boost so its hard to get it to give above 9 .. I'm sure you'll understand That said, I've shifted to a new Piggyback ecu from Racedynamics and the 17kmpl figure was achieved with it. Very optimistic about city figures this time round, lets see how it goes!

Now that is a picture worth framing and putting up on your wall.

That's a quick Baleno, you've got there.

So anything new in the pipeline then? Suspension, tyres, exhaust?
