I am not sure if the booster is the same!,
I would love to have slotted discs any day!, where and whom should i get in touch with to source them?
Also the major problem is the brake pad for type 1 esteem are not easily available these days, and these brakes pads need a side clip to hold them, which are a pain to get.
I dont know whether this happens with me only , or with others too. my brake pads fall off once they wear out, and they take away the clips with them. this has happened twice with me!

Yogi,

Thats news to me but any ways there are always more things to know that i actually know. My esteem was type 2, so never had any problems sourcing parts i guess. If you want to go the factory way get your stuff from MASS, When i had taken my car to get serviced my SA told me that i had to replace both the roters as there were sctraches on them. he gave me an estimate of 1200 each if i remember correctly. My trusted mech used a small device with a rotating sandpaper arrangement on it and he sanded it to near perfection. The issue is its know that esteems have a break fade issue. So i am wondering will the stock conversion yeld any satisfactory results. Another option is to go for bigger rotors probably swift but that might need mods and more over that your PCD will change to 100. Souurcing these in a mumbai junkyard should not be a problem.

I think we will go for the type 2 booster, oil lines and caliper, and will try to get slotted discs from Saudi or Bahrain.
What do you think?

Sounds like a good option. Best of who worlds. I think you should see if you get satisfactory results form the stock type 2 conversion. If yes i seriously doubt if you need that kind of stopping power for a naturally aspirated carb esteem, If you wanna go the turbo way, then that will require bigger breaks.

Here is the pic of the Engine. After looking at it, I dont think bigger brakes are required , but when changing the entire setup, why not try to get the best you can grab?

Nice reminds me of my car, Minus the sturt braces, filter and red wires. I dont think you need a heavy breaking power but getting the latest brakes is a great idea in terms of availability of spares.

Alright suggest the color for the rocker cover and the braces and filter piping.
Red or White or Black, keeping in mind MSD cables and coils are red color, should match with them.

Red. Battery, cables, coil so everything red. But not too glossy

Hey yogi i wished you had the type 2 esteem front, That looks way too better than the type one. My friend had this conversion done, Here is the breakup(from junkyard)

Bonnet 1700 INR(in exchange with your bonnet)
Fenders 1500 INR (Pair)

Front Bumper(type 2) 1000
Headlights(Type 3) 1400 A pair
Side indicators(near the headlamps clear type) 140 INR
Clear Repeaters 140 INR

Paint 2000 INR(Matt will be cheaper)

Total:~5K

The type 2 looks little more propotionate and wide when compared to a type 1. Considering?? It will look super cool that way

Which rotor is a direct fit?

Found these rotors on DBA (Disc Brake Australia) web page.
Please can some one confirm the dimensions as mentioned in the attached file.

The rear looks clean.
The interiors san the steering wheel looks its part.

As Abbas suggested, the steering wheel should go.
Try and get something sobre in its place.

A nice red and black trim should gel well with the interiors.

Any plans to re-model the front.
Some good Rio Body Kits should make the car look a lot cooler.
How about some K&N for the boost!!!!
