+1 to that. Sunroofs are popular in the UK - I guess that it is because they want to enoy the sun as it may disappear before they get out. No such problems for us in India thankfully! IMHO, 1 lakh is not worth it especially as it is not something that would add value during resale. On the contrary people are apprehensive due to possibility of rattles/ leakages/ niggles with the sun roof in a pre owned car. This maybe one of the reasons why the i20 no longer comes with a sunroof in its top end model.

The I20 still comes with a sunroof in its top end model...its an extra 50k over the regular asta

You can get a Webasto fully motorized sunroof for 40k and a pop up one for around 15k. Now that is really a sweet deal

The sunroof looks cool, the fitting seems good too from inside. Do mention the cost involved and the place where it has been done.

@mirage. could you share cost details of the sunroof and also if it's possible to fit a motorised sunroof on an alto. i have a k 10 but i want the sun roof to slide open.

A motorized sunroof can be installed if the sunroof's width does not exceed 30 inches.
I did not go for the motorized one because it costs 5 times the price of the pop up sunroof.
