Unichip from Spitfire, Coimbatore

There was an interesting article in yesterdays Hindu regarding a chip for tuning both petrol and diesel cars.

Makes for an interesting read. Here is the link to the same.

The Hindu : Cities / Coimbatore : Spitfire Performance makes a 'power'ful statement

The article also makes mention of a Hotbit suspension package.

Unichip seems to be a basic piggyback and has mixed (some positive, more negative) reviews on other international forums. They'd have their work cut out in India. From what I hear, racedynamics & zakie do a pretty good job already.

Any idea what they are selling it for here?

It is the easy way out for people who cannot configure standalones. Cheap Megasquirt, RaceDynamics or Honda ECUs blow this to outer space.

Planning to visit the place next time while I am at Coimbatore. Will find out what they offer.

The Unichip works better than the AEM FI/C. It was the defacto tuning solution for 8th generation Civics in the SEA regions until FlashPro showed up.
