Is it possible to dump a 1.0 or 1.3 liter block in the Maruti 800?

This is for all tha tech geekz and any kinda info would be greatly appreciated.

i jus wanna know if itz possible to swap a 1 liter Alto or 1.3 esteem block in a 800's engine bay ??????
and is there any place in bombay that even swapz engine, coz i have no clue wat some ever bout garage's in bombay ?????

There are no 1 litre Alto engines! You're looking at the 1061cc unit from the Alto 1.1 or the Wagon R.

It's possible alright. Been done by a few people in Bangalore. Beware, it's not as easy as a Zen-Esteem swap. Contact ZenGT or Viper in Mumbai for help.

How about a REAL intro?!

gr8 as expected, but people have to keep tha modifing scene alive and kickin in India, itz not gr8 as compared to Japan or US but tha import scene has definetly hit many indians,and i hope it spreadz likea crazy forest fire.. a[/font][/font][/color][/font][font='Times New Roman'][color=black][font='Times New Roman'][font='Times New Roman']nd oneday every major city will have itz own trck and dragstrip, and the world will be a better place then!!!! give me a AMEN!!! Hey Zero,

Regarding your query. Its possible to put a M1000 engine in an M800 without any major alterations. However a1.3l is practically impossible and not advisable as it will involve cutting aprons and modifying suspension etc.

If I'm not mistaken, this guy had put in either a 1.0L or a 1.3L engine into the 800. If anyone knows otherwise, please advise.

That car belongs to Ranjit and he was running a 1.3 in the 800. Yes it can be done but requires extensive mods.
