Projector setup on my Honda city

The cut out is more of the left as this kit is for LHD, The new ones should be for RHD.

Its the same box as yours, the ballast has a white sticker in mine instead of black. And it is 8000K

Mine seems to be the install - the shutter (for hi/ low beam) seem to be kind of rotated counter-clockwise a bit on both the sides. I am not able to get a better focus from where I installed it, though am sure something can be done with the focusing part :(

hey bro if it all about aligning the headlights it can be done easily but if it is the focus of the light intensity i'm not sure about it

Did you open the light and see? Some thing might be loose, Post some pictures if possible

No, its not the intensity (how bright the light is) - it is about where the lights are falling

Nothing seem to be lose - I did a highway run and the lights are pretty firm on the roads - no shakes, nothing. And high beam is like day light! I haven't gotten to click proper fotos yet, will do that now...

Hey This is really cool. It should fit any h4 headlight housing right.please give me the details on getting this kit in delhi. does hella also make a bolt on kit like this or fitting those requires fabrication. this would look stellar on any car. gotta get this done

The whole process of opening up stock headlights looks kinda complicated (using a heat gun or baking in the oven)

From your experience guys do tell how difficult it was to get it done. Do casual mechanics have the knowhow as i am sure this wont be done at the A.S.S of honda.

I would really love to get this done on my honda city, but i am not a DIY person so dont wanna take any risks!

Your are right!! this is the only thing thats stopping me for getting the projector lamps. I so really want to have them but then i dont really want to break any sealed component of courtesy honda. I dont know how complicated is it. I dnt know what mechanic i trust for doing this.

Just one doubt...

Does the leveling of the bulb work? I mean the focus level settings knob (1 to 5) in the City Zx does it still function with the new set of headlamps you've got?

Hella does not make anything of such sort. This can fit any H4 holder.

This is not something very difficult. If you go to any mech selling used lights he can easily do it for you. As for starters you can purchase 2nd hand lights and try it on that.

Your headlights have no warranty so you dont VOID any. Rest everything that this kit uses is 100% bolt on.

Again you can always purchased used lights and experiment.

Yes it works perfectly. Because you are just replacing the bulb basically nothing else.

I used to have this problem too. It's more of a mindset issue than anything else. IMO - search for a mechanic nearby who fixes major things on much more expensive cars than your own car. way to do find such a mechanic is to find out mercs etc. standing with their innards exposed. Talk to him, and then talk to the expensive car owners for their feedback. And then try him out for a small job and then for bigger and better things.

You may even be surprised to learn that many such roadside mechanics are so good that even expensive car owners trust them more than A.S.S. And the reason is simple- most A.S.S. are franchisees and the profit motive results in higher workforce attrition (compared to roadside mechanic and his team) and unfortunately many A.S.S. end up loosing skilled people.
On the other hand the roadside mechanic has much more to loose by loosing a valued customer than A.S.S. So many of them try harder to please - that is why they value their team more (perhaps they pay better!)

Another thing, I used to think that skills are only part of the service experience - the remainder was infrastructure/equipment which only an A.S.S. would carry. I was wrong. You will be surprised that the good roadside mechanic has a network of "specialists" in each major automobile system. These guys carry the necessary equipment. If the mechanic suspects a problem in any one area - he simply calls the relevant specialist in! It works well!
