Rear lights are smoked, I think.

It might looks better without the Punto sticker on the front.

Agree with the oversized "P"
Remove it ASAP. Which spoiler have you put?

Re: Modifying my Fiat Punto

@vigneshram - Sorry Vignesh, the blackened bonnet doesn't look good to the Punto's Character, at least to me . Are you serious about retaining this setup for your Punto?

Re: Modifying my Fiat Punto

Hi Team,

I hope I am posting this query in the correct thread and hope this would escape the eyes of the manufacturer / dealer

I wish to install a Diesel Tunning Kit (Petes / Spider) in my Punto 90HP and I would remove it when I submit the car for regular servicing. Could somebody help me with the following queries:

1. As my car is less than 6 months old and under warranty, can the local Tata/Fiat dealer engine diagnostics software pick-up any trace of such a modification been done?
2. The resellers assure that this tunning kit will not harm the engine in any manner, has anybody had experienced any problems (short / long terms issues what so ever!)
3. Mileage drop?

Thanks

Some of them would be perfect candidates for the 'Weird and Wacky mod-jobs' thread.

I know some acquaintances who have installed the tuning-box on their Puntos and disconnect it before servicing. In fact, when you get it installed, the franchise you buy it from might recommend you to do that, since it's an easy, plug-and-play sort of mod.

It shouldn't harm your engine in any way, so long as it is installed properly. Do acquire it from a known source or a reliable tuning house.

The mileage wouldn't drop, so long as you don't keep planting your right foot onto the floor very often. The loss in mileage isn't generally because you have installed something that gives you more power. The drop in mileage is usually because the owners tend to give it the beans whenever an opportunity is in sight.

However, serious modifications to the engine may affect fuel economy.

Drive safe!

Your GP looks good now. But I must ask why you have a matt black hood and a gloss black roof?

BTW, you've shown your car's plates before. No point in covering them up now

Re: Modifying my Fiat Punto

Everybody out there must. Understand that it is carbon fibre Vinyl on the hood and not matte black.you will not be able to appreciate it unless you see it in person.pics don't show the details

Re: Modifying my Fiat Punto

vigneshram: I kinda like your Punto except for the projectors. The blue color is standing out too much, I think whitish color would be better.

I am sure you get lot of attention (both positive and negative), most people can't miss a "different" looking Punto
