Remapping BMW E60 530d

Hi,
I was wondering if I should remap my new BMW 530d highline.
I have done 1700 kms so far & was tempted by Bluefin who do remaps for the BMW & VAG Group cars as well. They are highly recommended & is a fairly simple DIY.
I'm looking at a 47Bhp & 132 NM gain which should take it to 277 Bhp & 632 NM Torque.
Should I wait & put on some more Mileage before going ahead?

Superchips - Superchips Applications.

Do you really need the additional torque and power ?

In any case, please be a bit careful....doing this will put additional stress on the engine mounts and should they wear out early, BMW will refuse any warranty on your car.

see all the options you have for remapping and research to see which is reliable and which has a good reputation. remaps can be very reliable. also why not wait till at least 5000kms or even more so that you can get to know the stock power of the car and get bored of it (if thats possible on a 530d) so that after the remap you can fully appreciate your money spent.

EDIT - and after you get it. make sure the bmw dealer does not know about the remap.

On my previous car which was a Skoda Laura L&K I had a remap done by Petes on day 1.
Had a lot of fun with it & no problems after 3 years & 24000 Kms.It was doing 140 + Bhp with a cotton green filter.
But am having second thoughts with the Bimmer, haven't even floored it yet as BMW recommends running in for 2000 Kms before exceeding 3500 rpm & 150 Kmph.

If you really want to experience diesel power, sell this off and import the 535d twin turbo.

Sandeep, haven't you opted for the highly recommended 5 year BSI package? If so, then a remap on a brand new 530d is a big no-no. It'll void your warranty on the spot. The 530d is a stonker right out of the box. I'd personally wait before bumping up the power.

Right now, your top priority should be regular rubber. Get rid of the runflats while you can!

No I have not opted for the 5 year BSI package as my driving is typically 6-7000 Kms in a year but I guess you are right about voiding the warranty.
I guess I'm going to stick to the original specs.
Thanks

Perhaps revisit the remap thought once your 530d is 3 - 4 years old? And you need more than 500 NM of torque
