My Zen LXi wth some Basic Mods

Hey Guys,

As a piece of information, like most of the car lovers on TBHP, I always wanted to buy a Zen..

My dad who owns a Maruti 800, always told me to go for another M800 (may be he was jealous, bcoz then my car's BHP would be higher than his ride's..lol)

(earlier we had own zen too, however, one was stolen from our parking (it was only 3k done) and second one was damaged badly in an accident, luckily no one was hurt, dad then sold it, so this m800 was my dad's new mate !! )

Finally I convinced him to buy me a zen from true value..

on 2006 November I went to true value, I got to see some nice clean Wagon -R and a 2002 model (blue colored) zen..
But I liked the Zen 2004 onwards model..

End of the day, finally came home with "mere sapno ki raani" lolol.....

I purchased this 2004 LXi, Pearl Silver color..

1st thing I did even before going to temple, I went to a local accessories shop in Green Park, and removed the old cassette player and stupid 50watts speakers, fitted in front doors..

2010 I met with an accident and the ride was badly damaged...
find the post below:

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/1735133-post4823.html

Finally my car is back (with service and all done) all the work is done except the a/c (that i'll get done next month), though I ve bought Subros condensor, all it needs is to get installed..

Some basic mods done on my ride are:

ICE:
Pioneer 5850 HU
JBL Original Wiring
Pioneer 306 12" Sub 1000 Watts
SONY 600 Watts 4 channel amp (fitted beneath co-driver's seat)
JBL GTO Series Speakers 300 Watts
Customized box in rear to fit in Sub and Speakers

EXTERIOR:
Garware SRC 100% Black Side Tints & 60% on rear
Blackend B Pillars
Hubs and Brake Calibers painted Flourscent orange (Spray Paint)
Black slim beeding
Bosch wipers
Center locking (remotes lost) now manual..lol
Minda trumpet horn (sounds some what like octavia's OE horn) lol..

Body Colored:
Bumpers
Door Handles
OVRMs

Added Halonex 100 X 90 W H4 Xenon tubes and a relay in head lamps (White, sorta bluish),
Added Philips Xenon Tubes (White) in fog lamps (relay was already installed)...
Visibility is increased 50%....

Brake lights on bumpers as comes with Zen VXi

INTERIOR:

Black Leather + Net seat covers
Ambi Pur ...LOL..

Painted Silver:
Door handles
A/C switches, fan control things on the dashboard

TIRES:

HR Alloy Wheels:

5 Spoke 12" Black Machined
155/ 70 /12 Good Year Tube Less Tires (worst thing happen to your car)

Planning to add mesh grille
add 1 more sub and a mono amp
a replica steering

Here are some pics (images are taken from a cell phone, quality is low, bcoz the pre paid balance was low, just kidding, scratches on camera)

Hey I have the same HU, but on the Lancer. Why dDid you paint the door handles as well to body color ? IMHO black looks good with that body color on. More interior pics needed.

When blackening the B pillars, you should have gotten the door sills also blackened, since the rest of the panes have the edges also blackened as stock.

@ price and kraft: Bro its just a matter of choice, I have seen blk door handles, however, it didnt gel with my taste..and blk handles looks even more nice if the OVRMs are black too....

@benbsb: I would have definitely blackend door sills, if I had a red, or even a white zen..blackening all the sills and b pillar in p silver zen doesnt look good, i have a friend with same colored esteem, it looks horrible (IMO)..
And now after seeing my ride, he is removing the black tape..

1. Hubs and Brake Calibers painted Flourscent orange: Rs. 350 (bcoz the guy used 2 spray cans, made base with white and then used orange)

2. Minda trumpet horn : Rs. 400

3. Alloy: Paid Rs. 15000 for 4 alloys and 4 tires, dont know how what the break up is ? 2006 was the year to install these..

sir ji,
i had the same setup in my alto 6 months back. i recommend you to put the speakers in the rear tray and sub in a 1 cu ft box, this improves the sound quality to a great extent. the sound from the speakers becomes crisp and the subwoofer gives harder base. total expenditure on the upgrade would be just around 1000-1500 bucks.

i strongly recomend you to change the setup.

regards
