Exactly. Audi LEDs are in its own league. I even find them better than Merc E class LEDs.

Like I mentioned above, I'm trying to source HID's to put in the Fogs(saving up for it for quite awhile)
so the LED's with just the fogs on would be a killer combo IMHO
I cant put HID's in the main headlamp because i can't get projectors and HID's without projectors is blinding to the opposite side
once i complete the project, ill put up better resolution pics and then u guys tell me what u think
and also, personally I don't like the way the white LED's looks in the fogs on the new E, I think they've put them there for the sake of having LEDs
and Naveen, ure projector headlamps on the pic(with angel eyes) look awesome dude!
did you change the whole headlamp or you've put just the rings?

That's true.. Personal choice...! Even am not into this LED thing. But Audi looks super cool.
@Raghav
Thanks for the comments. I changed the whole headlight assembly.

Re: Headlight LED Strip - Pearl Necklace

Hi,

The Audi looks so good because each LED has its own reflector.

The work around is definitely buying the 3M back tape + LED strip that is available readily on ecommerce sites.

My question is around the strip itself. What is the density of LEDs? 36 in 60 cm?

Regards,
NagaSid

Re: Headlight LED Strip - Pearl Necklace

Am I glad to finally find a thread on this one!

I have a Ford Fiesta and I would love to have the following in place:

1. Daytime running lights
2. LED courtesy lights near the door steps
3. Red LED lights around the tail lights (linked to breaking)
4. Under chassis lights (Blue/bright white) that have a flashing rhythm
5. Extra lights for the road (I drove through rain in Bangalore y'day and all the lights - head+fog+highbeam were inadequate)

Any advice on the cost, location, etc on getting all this done will be much appreciated.

Regards,
NagaSid

What you need is a set of auxiliary lights. These do involve fitting brackets to get the lamps mounted unless you have bull bars, which I guess you don't (If you don't have them, don't bother getting them; they affect safety). You can get a Hella MicroDE which costs 6k for a pair and can be fitted in place of your fog lights but it is an expensive proposition without promising as much light. Hella 500 and Hella 700 will cost you about 4k. They are available at any major car accessories dealership but you can also get them directly from a Hella distributor.
