My Cruze(LT) key got misplaced some where.i do have the duplicate also but in dat buttons are all gone though it works .I ordered a duplicate shell from Amazon,Some i key brand or something.Im yet to receive it though.but Im still skeptical of the quality thought it looks good on the pic given in amazon. If any calicut bhpians are there i want to know where i can go for for flip assembling as anyway even i if i get the shell i have to take it to some key makers for assembling as Im not confident for DIY.

Re: Flippy Keys

I wanted to get my Accent's key converted to a 'Flip key'. I have this one:

Flippy Keys-old_accent_key.jpg

Came across this product on Aliexpress and this looks very OEM!

Flippy Keys-new_accent_key.jpg

I contacted Mr. Yogesh from "Flip Keys India" and this is what he said.

Quote:
The remote you have is not suitable for Flip Key conversion as we have found that frequency varies in flip key due to metal parts of Flip key

I will not recommend Flip Key for your remote

Regards
Er. Yogesh Arora
Anyone on the forum has tried converting the above key (Accent executive) to a flip key? If yes, from where?

Tried sometimes back for my colleague's Accent, but we couldn't convert the OE remote & key to flip key. As an alternate, you may consider the one in below post

Re: Flippy Keys

Got a Flip key for My 2007 Swift Zxi for ₹2500. The remotes repaired a few years back were not functioning.I was suggested at ministers road,Hyderabad to visit Mr.Ram who runs an accessories store in Old Alwal near Saibaba temple. I understand he is a qualified Technician with good knowledge about Car audio and electricals.
The key is working fine. I would recommend him for people in Hyderabad for their central locking and key related issues. For Accessories there are tons of others.

I got a similar one from Aliexpress for my Montero. Got the key cut at a local key shop and transferred the remote mechanism and transponder myself. Quite easy to do. Both keys work perfectly now after a year+.

Re: Flippy Keys

Dear Experts, I have a new Grand i10 and I am not pretty much liking its key set. While one key is basic key, other looks similar with 2 buttons on it.
I have also noticed that Asta (O) model has foldable key fob.

Can I change my keys to foldable key ?
Any recommendations locally in Bangalore, online or in Hyundai and what does it take to shift ?

Can you post a picture of the regular key that you intend to convert to Flip key?

This will help understand on whether there are Flip Key fobs available online.

And how does the foldable key of Asta (o) Model look like?

I would be more interested to understand the number of buttons and the placement of them in both type of keys you are referring to.

The online stores for sure will have Flipkeys available for Hyundai easily.

For instance, this fella seems to have it. Although its for Eon, good to connect with the seller and confirm.

Re: Flippy Keys

I just ordered one for my FIGO. Expected in a weeks time.

One query I had though, will the lock smith be able to replicate the blade as good as the original? Any FIGO owners have got it done?

This is how the key looks. One key is pure basic and other has buttons within it.

My friend showed his flip key of Asta Version which I am also sharing.

Re: Flippy Keys

Finally got it done for my FIGO.

One issue though, I cannot open the door with it however works perfectly on the ignition. I may have to take it back to the key maker for some fine touching.

Cost of key 1200/- from keyzone and duplicating the blade at Jayanagar 500/-. Looks neat...

Re: Flippy Keys

Hi all,

I've been meaning to obtain a Flip key for my Celerio. I have contacted Flipkeys proprietor but wanted to know if anyone based out of Pune has been able to get it done locally. Any leads would be appreciated.

Re: VW Polo GT TDI ownership log EDIT: 150,000 km up + several updates!

For the VW Vento, the holder that holds the metallic keyblade, that rotates while flipping broke, and the metallic key has come loose from the shell.

If I get a keyshell from AliExpress, will a normal key duplication shop be able to insert and fix the metallic blade and transfer the chip to the new one?

Any alternate solution?
