Roof Rack/Basket for Baleno ?

Hello,
Does anyone know where I can get a Roof rack or basket for Baleno ??
I know THULE makes it and they have a dealer somewhere in lavelle road. If people have used it for other cars, some approximate cost would help. I am sure it will be on the expensive part.

Also, if any of you know other places where i can get some lesser cost makes, please let me know.

Thanks.

Be ready to shell out something atleast close to 20k or so. The cheapest I have seen is in that range. BTW why do you need a roof/cargo carrier for the baleno ?

I am taking it to Leh this August.. so if i carry the jerry can etc ..the luggage space might be less in the boot for 3-4 people's luggage. :-)

hmmm... 20K is expensive.. i guess we may be better off to carry less luggage

There are cheaper options such as getting a roof carrier unlike the box type one's. Check with Hiker ( ..::It's Hiker World, Nudge Guards, Roof Carriers, Side Foot Steps, Rear Bumpers, Rear View Monitor System, Bumper Guards::.. ) they should have something for the baleno. The only downside would be that you would require something to cover the luggage and protect it from the elements.

hey Madhukar, if you are looking at something like the THULE carriers you have the choice of Tropicool products also. I am not sure of their availability in your city, but am sure the pricing is much more competitive than THULE.

You can check the website Tropicool

Check the storage section in the product listing.

See if it helps.

Aye those should work out under 9k or so. For the Scorp' I was quoted 9k, IMO should be cheaper for the baleno. Worth a shot, give it a try and you can always use tarpaulin to cover the bags.
