Mods to my VDi

As mentioned in my ownership thread,( http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-d...ets-speed.html), the car would be going through step by step modification process.

The mod process would largely depend on availability of Vitamin M. Any mods whatsoever would be posted under this section. The ICE stuff would find it's place under the ICE section.

Upgrades planned (in chronological order)

•Tyres & Alloy Wheels : Yoko 195/55/15 on Hijoin (already done)
•Llumar tints
•ICE : Carputer with Kenny 4-channel powering a pair of components & a pair of coaxials, A Kenny Mono powering an 18" Fi SSD, Finolex power cables, Audison/scosche RCAs, Audison Distribution blocks.
•Exhaust tips
•Dual projector headlamps with angel eyes.
•Projected Fogs with angel eyes.
•LED taillamps.
•Underdash & underbody neons
•Racing stripes
•Air filter : K&N or Green conical
•Synthetic engine oil after running-in (need to check whether advisable or not)
•RD or Pete's Diesel tuning box.

Following are the pics of the car with Yoko & HRS.

PS : You might notice a black dot in the middle of some images. That's the dirty camera lens

HRS and Yoko, a superb combination and a great dealer too, BK Tyres (your pic conveys my neighbourhood).

Which cam are you using? The hub cap closeup is crisp and clear.

Yes, got it done from BK tyres. Great guys there. We can probably meet the next time I am there to fix an alignment issue.

Streetaddict:

Nice mods to start with. Good to see one more swift getting modded.
What's next? Projectors?
Keep us updated.

Good modifications!

Very tastefully done so far; and your choice of modifications on the cards are spot on as well. However, are you sure about installing under-body neon lights?

Congrats, it looks brilliant! Your first post says the tire size is 195/55 but the tires are 205/55. BTW, how is the ride quality and steering feel after the upgrade?

Thanks Naveen. Mod potential is one of the reason to get the Swift. Next in line are seat covers, Tints & ICE. They would be done this weekend if everything goes according to plan. It would be sometime before I get the projectors. Would keep you guys posted

. Yes, for now! I know that can look a bit tacky but I am willing to give it a try nevertheless!

My Bad. The tyre is 205/55. Steering feels on the heavier side but is managable. Road grip has improved a lot. Tyres do not squeal now when the turbo hits on 2nd gear .

Just let me know beforehand when you're coming. Great quality pics even with a 4 year old cam.

. Swift probably has the maximum after-market support when it comes to hatches. Too much to buy!
