What is legal in our country and what is not ?

List of Illegal Stuff we use,
Any car is not supposed to produce over 100 DB of noise.

Average Bass head system pumps about 130+ DB in the cabin.

Headers / Mufflers - Noise Pollution, but for some it's music.

Colored HEadlamps are not street legal, so what about the Blue and Purple Xenon HIDs people use ??

Engine Changes are not Legal, so what, I myself have had an Esteem Engine Zen for some time.

Dark Tints on windows are Illegal, but In bangalore we sometimes put it on the front windshield too, Lumar comes with a very neat one for 2k that too, you can see at night thru it.

I remember driving around cars with Bright neons, all that cops did was Gape at the car , they never bothered me.

These were few things which are illegal and we do it.

Now I am keeping it to Automotive, If we start about cops and politics, we will be very confused on what is right and what is illegal etc etc.

SO, don't sweat, have fun , enjoy, you are in India.

Even in the US the things I specified are illegal, but they still do it

Hey everyone,
I had question regarding under body led kits(is that what they are called??) or StreetGlow . Not sure exactly what they are called. Ok what I wanted to know was if I install them on a new car does that make the warranty void? Also how much do they cost on average and are there any other alternate options(cheaper)?

Installing underbody neons do not void warranty, unless you cut or splice the OE wiring harness.

Streetglow gold series neons cost around $150 in the US, so $150 + around $200(for shipping[through UPS]) = $350 i.e approximately Rs:16,975.

Either use Bad boy's idea else look for the 48" led strips,Quiet durable effective & cheap.

You can get LED strips. they are waterproof,shatter proof etc. will cost slightly more then desi neons but well worth the price difference. will try and post a pic soon.

I have something in mind for which i need help
I want to fit flashing under body light in my zen estilo.
Let me tell you what is on my mind, I want to fit a camera flash under my zen Estilo. Currently i have bought a cheaper variant camera flash which runs on 4 AA battery.
Help i need.
1) The camera flash work with 6 volts ( 4 AA battery ) what kind of circuit is needed to convert the car battery voltage to required value.
My solution: If nothing work out i will buy a car mobile phone charger and dissect it
2) The camera flash work only when we press the trigger or test button, i need some circuit to complete the circuit of flash after some time at regular intervals.
for this i do not have a solution.

Please give your suggestion etc if i should go with this or will it look awful.

I personally dont like this mod, it will look too flashy and obviously will attract lot of unwanted attention including cops. Am pretty sure such modification will be a distraction for oncoming traffic and can be a road hazard.

If you planning to do for a show car (parked for some event), then one can understand.
