Is the stuff inside My Shaldan supposed to be solid ?

I bought one today, and it's genuine alright, but it's solid. It was manufactured in 2009, and expires in June 2011.

Also, I kept it on my dining table all night, and there was no difference in how the area smelled in the morning. The scent was noticeable only if I held the can close to my nose. Do you think there's something wrong with it ?

^^It is solid but semi-solid gel kinds. And I think it will work best in closed enclosures and not at open place.

I used 'My Shaldan' later shifted to Ambi Pur as it was lasting so early. My Shaldan is still the best compared to Ambi Pur. But how to keep it for long lasting? Should I open the can only 1/4 ? The problem is it dries quickly.

I used Plastic wrap covered it and made 3 tiny holes at the top. This is enough to make the car smell good at the same time keeps the My Shaldan can fresh.

Bought 3 My shaldans at reliance auto zone (basavangudi)
they have a 25% discount on buying 3! MRP was 221. got 155 off on total.
picked up lime, lemon and squash.

Just got the second can of My Shaldan Orange yesterday. Earlier I have tired almost all the fragnances of Ambipur which I feel are useless and last not more than 2 weeks on an average.

What I feel about the umbrella thing at the bottom is that as the gel starts to evaporate, the umbrella thing pushes it upwards. At least that is what I noticed in my previous can.

I am planning to check out some other car perfume once the orange one is over. Kindly suggest mild flavoured onces which can be purchased from either big bazar or star bazar.

Got myself a MY SHALDON SQUASH for 200 bucks. Checked it properly and it's not fake. Thanks for the tips. They got it fixed on my dash board with the both side tape.

With tbhp's excellent google'abiltiy I would not be surprised if the next batch came with the exact similar fonts and labels.

This morning picked up my first bottle of My Shaldan Neo from Big Bazaar. They have increased the rates. Its now Rs.249 MRP and got 15% off on that.

Btw, its a Lime flavour one. Going by the reviews here, will just pierce a couple of tiny holes to see how the fragrance wafts through the car.

Where to keep it in an EECO?
My EECO does not have cup holders.
On the dashboard it will simply fade away due to harsh sunlight.

Keeping it on the dashboard is not a good idea as you rightly said the contents will evaporate very soon. Since you dont have any cupholders then only option left is to keep it below the driver or passenger seat or the side pockets ( if you have them).

Yesterday picked up Dr. Marcus - Senso " Ocean" from Autozone. It has a double sided adhesive tape on its base for holding on to dahsboard

Thanks Guys. Was using Ambi pur so long in both my cars.
Last weekend got the My Shaldan Neo from Bigbazaar. I have just installed it in my Scorpio as of now. Just love the fragrance. There is definitely loads of difference from my previous AmbiPur experience. First is that it is a fruity flavor, other is its pretty strong. Strong enough to neutralise food smell etc.
I have bought the Lemon flavored one now. Will try Lime or Orange next time

Im very disappointed with the NEO.
Neo doesn't last as long as the regular My Sheldon. I opened a new can of Neo just a week back and this is how it looks today. The Original Sheldon can is over 3 months old.
The Neo's fragrance is also not that strong and it doesn't have the plastic umbrella thingy that pushes the gel upwards once it starts to evaporate.

When I asked the difference between Neo and plain at the time of my purchase of 4 My Shaldan for Rs 663 at Reliance Autozone, Basaveswara Nagar, Bangalore, I was informed that Neo had milder fragrance as compared to the plain as some people prefer milder fragrance. Since I did not like Neo, I ended up buying plain.
