Re: Swift Mods : Post all queries / pics of Swift Modifications here.

@cartman: I suppose the sound also varies with varying engine capacity as the exhaust output (air mass) is different. I have heard many great sounding Estilos around. One of them is pink colored with a very loud and high pitch-ed exhaust sound. Somthing like rally cars have. Attracts all the eyes on road but also policemen two signals ahead.

@jagrocks7: Plugs costed me 2600/- a set. Same price everywhere I asked in Mumbai.

Hello sagar iswalkar, nice set of wheels there! One clarification mate, will a set of NGK Plugs changed alone, make a difference to the performance of the Swift? Mine's a DDiS.

Thanks Champion.

Changing just the stock plugs to iridium ones wont give any evident performance increase at all. It will all be too negligible for you to make out. Also DDiS wont be having any spark plugs at all (AFAIK) because diesels are compression ignitions and not spark ignitions.

The best move I ever made, except switching my steering wheel to a smaller size, which by the way makes the steering stiffer and more dynamic. Gives a sense of confidence at high speed and heavy acceleration.

Were the rear doors present or was it a two door transformation?

Actually I was contemplating going for dual exhausts but as the rear bumper has a mould for the exhaust it will look out of place. Also the automech guy (Vivek) suggested that its better to go in for single exhaust. I dont intend to turbo charge the swift as its a daily use car. was wondering if anything else could be done to increase power.

also i recently drove the new K series swift. somehow i felt that it lacks the power of the old 1.3 swift. no doubt about the increased mileage but still i'd prefer the power.
If you want a dual exhaust, you could probably change the rear bumper to the Sports bumper. It comes with dual exhaust pipes.

The tail lamps were 4K in Bangalore an year ago. This is called angel lights brake light set I guess. Used to come as a package for the headlights and brake lights - should be available as separate units than the complete set.

These full LEDs are not available in India. Shops import this when required. After import, these will cost 15k a set in India. I have found a source and it will come around 10-11k after import. They are currently out of stock so waiting for their update.

You might be talking about the old led tail lights. See the pic for the ones am talking about.
