Okay, I am a little confused now. I began my conversation with the retailer on 'Pachpan Saath' light (55/60).

As soon as I pronounced Xtreme Power, 'Oh, you want white light' was his reply.

I was looking to replace the stock bulbs with something good. Most of my driving is in well lit city streets. I didn't want to go for complex & expensive options like projector setup & HIDs. Found the X-tremeVision with 100% more light (X-Treme Power claims 80% more light). X-tremeVision was available in H4 60/55W. I placed order for these on a u t o l a m p s - o n l i n e on Oct 1st.

Received the shipment today. Not yet installed.

At the price 30 Pound (~2700.00 Rupees) it is damn costly. You could have opted for Philips Extreme Power for just Rs. 850.00 in Bangalore or could have waited for sometime to get Extreme Vision in India.

I am using Extreme Power in my car and am happy with it.

Me too. Planning to change the stock bulbs, I feel the throw is not sufficient esp on certain stretcehs of my travel where there is no street lights.

How/Where do I find out what is the stock bulb rating and what would be the alternatives?

Those were exactly my thoughts too. I completely respect msdivy's decision to go for it, but IMHO paying around 2,500 for a pair of bulbs is pretty steep. Add another few thousands more and you could have gone for good xenons for around 4k or so.

I've gone for philips rally 90/100 with roots relays with ceramic holders for my alto. It's pretty bright, most zombies who drive with their high beam dip when I put my highbeam. The only downside is that rally lasts only for a couple years and then the filament burns out because of the extreme temperatures it runs at (they run at over 40% over stock brightness per watt).

If you want something more conventional, extremepower would suffice.

I bought a pair of XtremePower lights for my i10 from AK Traders and got it installed yesterday. I have to say that I'm bit disappointed with the result. It claims 80% more powerful but in reality it is only about 25% more (IMO). I[aid 850 with receipts and rs 100 for installation.

Fitting of two bulbs for Rs. 100 . Thats too steep. Infact fitting can be done by self. Changing headlamp bulb knowledge is necessity for all car owners. It is less than 5 minutes job.

Coming back to your i10. i10 has worst headlight dome and reflector. Light in i10 is extremely poor. One of my relatives also has i10 and I already experienced there. I have put Philips Extreme Power in my Safari and I am absolutely happy with its performance compare to OEM Normal Philips halogen bulbs.

Only solution for i10 I see is to go for either 90/100 or 100/130 setup.
